Lovely short stay
Pros:

The location was good for us, as needed to get to the University. The Staff are very friendly & helpful. The rooms are a great size & were clean. Breakfast was also good.

Cons:

The bedroom was a little dated & probably needs a little refurb.

One of the biggest disappointments of our Cape Breton trip.

The only one thing our family enjoyed was the pool with the big slide, kids spent there the most of the time. Again, every time we needed to get towels at the reception which is weird, usually everything you need is located at the pool

One of the biggest disappointments of our Cape Breton trip.
We paid over $900 for three nights, and the quality was honestly shocking for that price. I’m not even sure where to start.
When we arrived, both the shower gel and body lotion dispensers were completely empty, so we had to call and ask for them to be refilled. The toilet paper holder was broken and actually fell onto my child’s foot when he pulled the toilet paper. There wasn’t even bottled water in the room, which I have rarely experienced in a hotel at this price point. No kettle either — just an old coffee machine. So if you don’t drink coffee, apparently you’re out of luck.
But the biggest shock was breakfast.
The oatmeal was so dry and solid that it was almost impossible to scoop out of the pan. The eggs were extremely salty. Food kept running out, and people were standing in line waiting for the sausage simply because there was hardly anything else available. There were no fresh vegetables, no cheese and very few healthy options for anyone who doesn’t want a heavily processed breakfast.
And then there was the presentation: paper plates and plastic utensils. At a hotel charging us almost $900 for three nights.
I understand this is not a luxury resort, and I wasn’t expecting one. But there is a huge difference between basic and poor quality. For this price, guests should at minimum expect a properly maintained room, basic amenities, decent breakfast options and actual dishes and cutlery.
Cape Breton itself is beautiful, but this hotel experience was a major disappointment and absolutely not worth what we paid.

Everything is old, sticky. The carpet is disgusting. The pool is disgusting; over fill with people. And many teen boys jump into the pool; no bath towel available at the pool; no small bottle lotions available. The room smells extremely stinky.Disgusting as whole. I wish I never check in this hotel. Was two nights with night mare here

Lekker zwemmen!
Pros:

Zwembad met super glijbaan; ontbijt helemaal prima; kamer is standaard hotelkamer maar helemaal prima; bed sliep goed; ruim opgezet hotel; achter hotel is parkje waar je prima kunt hardlopen.

Cons:

Ik vond de fitness wat tegenvallen. En dat de deuren van de lift je soms te pakken wilden nemen - ze sloten soms heel snel.
