Fantastic place to stay.
Pros:

Can’t say enough about the Inn. Staff is great. Very friendly. they went out of their way and called us and asked when would we arrive and if we wanted dinner because the kitchen was closing. We ordered on the phone and it was ready when we walked in. That was so nice and considerate of them to go above and beyond. Breakfast was great also. Hope to visit again. Thank you.

Pros:

We were looking to escape extreme heat and chaos back home and this place was everything we hoped for. The staff were always helpful and super kind and the food was delicious.

Cons:

Not the property itself but we wouldn’t mind just a bit more sun. Especially, since we were planning to go swimming at Silversands.

Petit hôtel très charmant, en pleine campagne !
Pros:

Nous avons séjourné ici car nous prenions le ferry tôt le lendemain matin entre Mallaig et Armadale sur l'Île de Skye. L'emplacement était parfait, au calme (malgré la proximité avec la route).
Les chambres étaient spacieuses et confortables, mais pas très modernes.
Le restaurant sur place est très bon. Tout comme le petit-déjeuner (mais prévoir un peu de marge si vous prenez le ferry car les assiettes chaudes prennent un peu de temps à la préparation).

Pros:

Tout le personnel est souriant et très attentionné. La chambre est propre spacieuse et la baignoire idéale après une journée de marche. Je vous conseille de manger sur place, la cuisine est excellente !!!! Au niveau qualité prix en 10 jours en Ecosse je n'ai pas trouvé mieux. Merci à tous.

Le staff was extremely kind and helpful.

Cons:

The price - €200 for one night, for a truly mid-range room - just the basics.
And I wrote twice to the hotel to ask about dinner times - no response whatsoever. And when I then called, the owner responded but was on his day off and could not answer me. He then took a while to give me the landline of the hotel , asking me even to better check on the Internet. WTF ?
Truly, a rip-off (but a big plus for the employees of the hotel who were very kind and helpful)

Une très belle étape
Pros:

L’accueil très convivial, le dîner et le petit-déjeuner délicieux, la chambre calme et confortable. Très proche de Mallaig (ferry pour l’île de Skye), de Glenfinnan et de Fort William.

Cons:

Ristorante per la cena non era rimasto niente. Nel locale si sente il cattivo odore dalla cucina, inoltre la nostra camera era sopra la cucina, la finestra non si poteva aprire a causa dell’odore, inoltre un po’ rumorosa dovuta alla cappa aspirante della cucina

Pros:

Location for steam train. Young barmaid was very nice. Clean

Cons:

Breakfast had run out of food. Dinner was expensive and only 2 vegetarian options. Braised beef was ok but poor vegetables to accompany it.
Overall very poor value for money

Quiet, stunning location, comfortable, great food.
Pros:

The inn is very comfortable and loved the rooms for comfort and decor. Kasia on reception was brilliant with problems and the other staff were lovely too. Dinner and breakfast were delicious and a bonus to have them included in the price. The location is stunning and close to the railway station. We had booked tickets to Mallaig and discovered on the train that if you ask the guard, the driver will make a request stop at Lochailort, which is about 35 minutes from Mallaig. Worth doing if you are staying at the inn. There is a bus to Mallaig leaving in the morning too.

Cons:

The one thing that could have been better is that only one man was on duty to take orders for breakfast. All the guests came down at once and he was very good and did get our order to us quickly because we had a taxi at 8am and breakfast begins at 7.30am. However, we did feel it would have been good if the Inn had put an extra person on breakfasts.
