The hotel room was specious but the furniture was old. The hotel needs renovation the location was also not great the lift was slow breakfast for vegetarian was sad they can improve upon that
Too old
The food is good all good thanks
Visiting Canton Fair, we stayed in the studio style rooms for a week, visiting local spots and Canton Tower. After days walking the large trade fair site, it was relaxing to return to foot massage and dinner in the open air restaurant. The local menu was great but we didn’t try the snake on the menu, maybe next time. We would definitely stay again
the hotel was ok, had breakfast, very few people speak english there but i was able to communicate, noone speak english outside the hotel, the area is medium to low income, but it was ok, weher the hotel is, the city is big, the people courtous with tourist. yu have to always be carefull in the city, the hotel was old , need some remodelation but is clean.
Evaluating quality in Chinese hotels is usually challenging, because they either are expensive upscale 5 stars or rundown 2 stars garbage, its hard to find a good average 3 stars hotel.
After the stay between 20 to 27 of October, during the Canton fair, i am confident to say that this is a 2,5 star hotel, the main problems is the cleanliness of the beds and the smell of cigarettes. The breakfast was ok to me but my family didn't liked it, there was plenty of food but most of it was Chinese.
The price of the breakfast itself was very expensive, so do not buy it separately. There was a shuttle bus to and from the fair, and a reception party that gave me water and snacks, that was nice. And plenty of toiletries in the bathroom my room.
It is also located in a central region of the city, there was a subway entrance not very far away, and it's surroundings are very dirty.
I would recommend this hotel if you like to eat Chinese food, do not mind the state of the surroundings and find it at a cheap price, it's not bad, but i think you can find something better.
洗手盤及坐厠都塞,房外觀景在舊樓群中,樓下街市環境雜亂。
距離地鐵站頗遠,大约廿分鐘。
A lot of redlight business going on there. The management is apparently involved in it.
If you want to sleep at night or on a business trip really the wrong place.
The environment is dirty. Room not cleaned, or cleaned with a dry toilet brush, the same as for the toilet. Never again. Hotel with brothel included.
It takes approx. 15 minutes walk from Kecun Metro D Exit to hotel. The advantage of hotel: offers free shuttle bus from hotel to Canton Fair and reverse. The breakfast is okay, but the seats are limited. There's a local market nearby the hotel and looks dirty all around.
Am staying at the royal garden hotel for the canton fair. Went to the spa as it can difficult to find trustworthy ones in Guangzhou. We chose the 238 RMB 90 minute oil massage and were asked to pay 248 RMB which was fine (about $50 AUD) the spa is actually much bigger than expected with many rooms. Nothing too special about the rooms but we’re given a tea and slice of watermelon. A fresh pair of shorts and wrap top came out of their own plastic bag. Ladies we’re pleasant and I asked to be a little more gentle and they helped to translate what we requested on their phone. It was more of a transitional Chinese massage than a luxurious Swedish one (which was what I expected anyway, I wasn’t at a 5 star hotel!) it was a nice massage and met my expectations for the price. But don’t think your getting a luxury experience and you’ll enjoy yourself :) all in all a nice, decent priced massage in a clean room with nice staff.
교통편이나 아침식사 그리고 룸의 크기등은 아주 좋았어요. 그런데 방에서 바퀴벌레가 나와서 기겁을 했습니다. 룸관리에 신경을 써야 할 것 같습니다.
WiFi connection was poor.
This is great little hotel in a convenient location and walking distance to the river, tram line and tower. With the local markets just behind the hotel we had some yummy dumplings and great to walk thru and see the local produce and people, and wonderful massage shops close by.
Location is good
출장으로 여러명이 가서 방 여러개를 썼습니다. 일부 방에서는 참을수없을정도의 냄새가납니다
Friendly, Clean, Great Value, Nice Campus, Variety of Rooms, Great restaurant on site.
The hotel can make or break your trip, This hotel has been excellent and exceeded my expectations in every aspect, few things may need improvement such as the musty smell of the room from the humidity but once you turn on the AC it will dehumidify the room and it becomes better, AC needs to be on all the time.
We really liked the Canton fair shuttle to go there, it was convenient. but coming back was a huge hassle as we never found the parking spot of the bus, but that is not the hotel's fault though.
The location is Excellent, 10 minutes walk to the Pazhou subway station, the area was amazing as it gives you the opportunity to experience how people really live in China.
The food/ complimentary breakfast, was very good, food in China was a real problem ( we cannot find good places to eat) but a good reliable start in the morning was soo helpful.
The room itself is a little on the outdated side, but still clean for China's standards, Many plugs in the room on 2 levels and it fits standard american plugs and USB.
Finally, the router is inside each duplex, which was amazing since you get a good signal all the time, I just wish it was password protected as it was a security issue, a VPN is highly recommended for both security and accessibility of google.
Staff were great for the most part, many did not speak English well -google translate helped- however many staff DID speak English very well.
I highly recommend this hotel!
기존의 호텔과는 다르게 동남아 필을 느끼기에 충분하고 깨끗하고 상냥하고 무엇보다 아침뷔폐가 아주 좋았습니다
I had a terrible experience in this hotel last week. There was a very drunk Brazilian man who was ranting away with racist remarks 9am on a Sunday morning in the hotel lobby. I was passing by the front reception counter and was shock he came after me. He kept hurling racist remarks and wanted to pick a fight on me. I tried to calm down. I pleaded with the staff in the reception counter to help me call security or the police. They ignored me and finally i was hit in the face by this man and he ran away. My Chinese colleagues came down and gave chase and caught this man in the road. I was also informed by another hotel guest that this man also created a scene 2 days earlier. I asked the front desk that i wanted to see the manager but they he was off duty! My advice to foreigners, stay away from this hotel. You dont want to be in a hotel were the hotel staff do nothing for your protection. It was shocking!
The mamagement takes pride in systematically betraying the guests, may it be at check in (giving the wrong room type), may it be at check out (refusing to pay back the deposit), may it be at the restaurant (delivering the wrong dishes and then want to charge for it), may it be at the breakfast buffet (not replenishing it already at 8 am).
The room is yuck and full of fungus and cockroaches, the room maid cleans the whole room with a dry toilet brush, including the toilet and the shower!!! This is definitely not what you want if you go to China on a business trip. WIFI not working or extremely slow and unusable. They present you with a lot of fake personnel, people which even dont work there. A lot of weird smell comes out of their massage room, lot of whores inside, you really dont want to put a foot inside, not if you dont want to get a disease. That is a chinese red light district hotel, which is really the worst place I have ever stayed in China. The base price is only 20USD per night, but they sell it to foreigners almost for 70USD. So don't get busted by them, the real worth is probably around 10USD. Never again my friend, even not for 10USD.
