Convenient and Charming stay with small improvements needed
Pros:

1. Fantastic location. It was close to everything we had on our list for eating and shopping - tho Yuen, Kwong tuck, Toh soon, ham chim peng pushcart etc.
2. Homely charm, cosy like a house
3. Friendly reception staff and night guard Mr Lim

Cons:

1. Housekeeping was unfortunately inattentive. Toilet roll and facial tissue not replenished. By the time we came back the housekeep staff was gone
2. AC leaking for 3 nights, before getting fixed
3. Blossom room was a bit cramped, app don’t allow to choose larger room. We were advised to book direct on hotel website next time

Absolute olde world gem, in a now full on modern city
Pros:

It's a 123 year old (1903) historical hotel, which we love, and it has been well upgraded in areas that matter for todays expectations (bathroom, shower and aircon.) Superbly maintained, but still retains its 123 year old character, charm and ambience. Extremely well located, in a quiet location, but minutes only to everything we wanted, and a Michelin star Italian restaurant co-located on ground floor adjoining

Cons:

We only stayed two nights, would have loved more

Few areas for improvement but a wonderfully unforgettable stay nonetheless
Pros:

A quaint boutique hotel with all the charm of Georgetown. Campbell House is one of those places that sticks with you long after you leave.

Lobby:
Front-of-house staff have customer service down. From the moment we arrived until the day we left, everyone was warm, welcoming and attentive. Check-in felt seamless: one person talked us through Georgetown's sights and food spots, another brought us cool drinks (the sirap limau ais was delicious!), another sent our luggage up to the room via the pulley system before we got up there. We were aware of and happy to follow the no-shoe policy beyond the lobby. There are anti-slip strips on the wooden stairs, and slippers are available for anyone who'd prefer not to be barefoot.

Room:
We stayed in the Rose Room, which was beautiful. Spacious, with high wooden ceilings, a cosy seating area, plenty of storage and LOTS of hangers. Gorgeous stained windows, wooden shutters, additional sliding windows and floor length black-out curtains. Despite the numerous 'layers' to the window area, outside noise could still be heard on louder nights so do bring ear plugs if you're a sensitive sleeper.
The queen bed was very comfortable for us (on the firm side), with both fluffy and firm pillows. Tea and coffee facilities were provided, and the mini-fridge was topped up daily with complimentary water, milk and delicious lemon tea. Turndown service each evening also came with a little sweet treat.
Bathroom also had plenty of colour and character and full-sized toiletries so you truly feel at home. Cool cotton robes provided.

We didn't use it ourselves, but there's a cosy little library/chill-out area with a bowl of hard-boiled sweets, which was a lovely touch. Georgetown kept us busy, but it was always nice coming back to such a comfortable room at the end of the day. There's also an easy-to-access laundrette down the street if you're here for longer stays (Kimberley Laundry).

Cons:

Data breach prior to arrival:
I received a "reservation review" message at 19:00 the evening before arrival, stating that my billing details needed to be verified before check-in. At around 22:00, I entered my card details via the link provided, which then stated the card had been declined and prompted me to use another. I immediately messaged the hotel and was told the message was part of a cyberattack and that the issue had already been resolved. However, if that were the case, I should not have been able to access the link and enter my details hours later. Thankfully, I saw the response before going to sleep and froze my card immediately.
While I do not blame the hotel for the cyberattack itself, I believe guests should be proactively notified of security breaches rather than discovering them only after contacting customer service. Had I not reached out, I would never have known my information may have been compromised. It may also be helpful to clearly state on the hotel's website/social media that it does not send payment verification links/card detail requests before check-in.

During stay:
Although the vacuum appeared to be used in other rooms (and may have been used in ours), the rug was not cleaned particularly well, with dust and dirt building up over our six-night stay. We eventually had to shake it out ourselves as it became unpleasant to walk on barefoot.
The drinking glasses also could have been cleaned more thoroughly, as one was returned with my lipstick mark still visible after a light rinse.

Paid for higher cost room, downgraded to small room with no discount or refund bah?
Pros:

A/C broke down, put me in a smaller uncomfortable room and did not refund for the failure. Granted the hotel was full - so what -

Cons:
