Such a beautiful and calming experience!
Pros:

Abbaye des Vaux de Cernay feels like stepping into another world.
I was honestly worried it would be too “Instagram coded” and overhyped, but not at all. The atmosphere is incredibly cozy, peaceful and genuine. Everything feels pristine without being cold or pretentious.

The staff is absolutely adorable, the valet service makes the whole experience so effortless, and every little detail feels thoughtful and luxurious in the most understated way. It’s the perfect countryside escape: fireplaces, soft lights, nature everywhere, calm energy, beautiful scents… pure serenity.

Cons:

The only small downside is that quite a few places/restaurants on the property are closed on certain weekdays, so it’s definitely important to check everything before booking your stay. Also, the food at James Bar was good but felt a little overpriced for the quality.

Une parenthèse enchantée pour porte monnaie bien garni 🤗
Pros:

C’est un cadre de rêve, vraiment une excellente coupure lorsque l’on habite Paris et son tumulte quotidien.

Cons:

Du bon, du très bon et même de l’excellent mais aussi du moins bien… des petits détails agaçants comme l’oubli des capsules de vrai café dans la chambre (uniquement du déca), et malgré le signalement, rebelote le lendemain ! Encore du déca et pas de café... Puis aussi l’oubli de l’anniversaire et donc de la bougie alors même que cela a été précisé lors de la réservation du restaurant et encore rappelé une fois sur les lieux… Ce sont des détails mais avec des tarifs dignes d’un « palace » cela entraîne un très haut niveau d’exigence. Ce sont les règles du jeu… A noter que le chef de salle s’est rattrapé et a offert un dessert supplémentaire. Globalement le lieu est magique, le parc magnifique, mais s’agissant des restaurants, y compris le brunch et le petit-déjeuner, les prix pratiqués sont trop élevés. Enfin, petit détail assurément indépendant de la volonté de l’établissement, le pompage de la fosse septique en plein milieu de notre séjour ! Et donc une odeur nauséabonde insupportable durant l’opération qui heureusement a été relativement rapide. Dommage que notre chambre était située à côté.

Une parenthèse enchantée
Pros:

Etablissement magnifique et spectaculaire dans un cadre unique, calme et préservé. De nombreuses activités, variées à disposition. Un personnel toujours aux petits soins, j'ai particulièrement apprécié les petites attentions pour mon bébé (un doudou l'attendait dans son lit, du savon pour bébé était prévu dans la salle de bain).

Cons:

Si je dois faire un mini reproche : j'aurais apprécié que l'on anticipe mon départ de la chambre en me demandant à quelle heure je souhaitais la quitter pour m'aider à descendre toutes les affaires. Mais c'est vraiment pour proposer une piste d'amélioration :)
