The car valet was excellent - quick and efficient.
I've stayed at this hotel several times in the past, however I as disappointed in this recent stay for the following reasons:
1. Poor check and check out experience: the woman checking me in was not overly friendly or welcoming, and she did not get my email address which required me to followup with the hotel after my departure since there was no one at the desk when I left on my departure date at 6:00 am. I left my room key at the desk and had to phone back later to receive the invoice; the desk staff said they didn't have an email address for me.
2. Poor in-room amenities: again we've stayed here before and didn't mind the lack of coffee machine, or bathroom toiletries such as a shower cap, make-up wipes, etc. since the price we paid per night was low, but on this visit I paid over $250 a night so my expectations were higher. For three nights my bill was over $1000 which included valet parking and a 'resort' fee.
3. 'Bronze' rooms are small with no view. I would not recommend the Bronze rooms; they are small, and more of an issue, they look over a roof courtyard and my room had the view of a large air conditioner unit.
4. Noise on Saturday night: There was a loud party going on in the alley way outside my room on Saturday night which was annoying; it was thumping with music, very loud. I called the front desk, the desk clerk was not at all helpful: she said she thought it was private party going on in the alley way. Okay.....not helpful at all.
On the upside the car valet guys are great and the lobby area is nice. The rooms are clean and the beds comfortable.

Finding our room was complicated, but I guess that adds to the novelty.

Stunning hotel in a great location! The hotel was beautiful, from the lobby to the guest room! Great selection of restaurants and a lovely bar with great food options. The room was gorgeous, bed was comfortable and the shower was amazing! The Black Magic coffee shop was also great for breakfast.

Hotel has so much character and history, and still felt stylish and comfortable. Location is great for walking around Colorado Springs.
Remodel with flair of an historic building.. feels personal and intimate. Not another me too bland modern hotel.

Everything! Beautiful interior, well-kept and with attentive staff. We felt welcome from the moment we walked in, the king room was really big and comfortable - honestly wondering why it’s not a 5 star!

I love this hotel. The decor is unique but not overdone. The rooms are spacious, clean. The bathroom has space and doors. The lobby is fun. Walking distance to a lot af great restaurants. Easy drive to CC
Service was excellent from front desk to the restaurant. My room smelled like dog. It was gross. Expensive to stay in a kennel.
The staff the rooms everything was top notch. Convenient to all the restaurants and attractions. Easy to get to and from the hotel. Definitely will stay there again.
We had a fantastic stay at the Mining Exchange while dropping off our child at Colorado College. The rooms are spacious, clean and unique in a good way. The lobby bar and restaurant is excellent. And the staff is incredibly helpful. Mark is the official greeter at the front door, and the hotel couldn’t ask for a better representative. Can’t wait to stay here again.
We recently stayed at the Mining Exchange because it was the designated hotel for a wedding we were attending in Colorado Springs. It turned out to be a real treat. We were pleasantly ungraded to a larger room (502) for our four night stay. The room was spacious and well appointed. The only reservation was the breakfast served in the lobby. It was awkward and very limited.
