Disappointed accommodation….
Pros:

Location , breakfast was good

Cons:

We reserved two room with two queen size beds. We got rooms with one king. The rooms were not even close to what the picture showed. Was really disappointed, very run down. The a/c worked but very very loud each time it came on.

Even though it was older, the room was nice. We would stay again.
Pros:

The balcony over looking the river and the free trolley.

Cons:

It needed some touch ups and the elevator was so dirty. The breakfast was ok, but the eggs were cold.

Could be better, used to be great!
Pros:

I LOVE that they brought back the breakfast buffet. It’s super convenient and the food is actually good! Love the waffles, sausage, biscuits & gravy, but the new pancake machine was AWESOME!! We like the grounds because we can park a trailer there easily. The other thing I like it the location of the pool .. I can still see the happenings on the parkway and people passing by.

Cons:

My husband and I ALWAYS choose The Brookside but unfortunately this trip may have us looking elsewhere. We requested a room with no stairs for health reasons and were put on the 4th floor, they said they’d call to move us the next day if we just stayed the one night, well that never happened. Our shower leaked and flooded the floor daily and housekeeping only left towels once in our 5 day stay. We had to ask for hand soap and toilet paper upon arrival. The hot tub wasn’t working and it’s one of the reasons we chose this place, they said yea it’s been broken, we’re waiting on a part, don’t know when it will be working again. We ended up leaving a night early due to all the issues. Of course no refund for the night was even offered, not even a call from the manager ever made like the front desk person said would be. It’s not the hotel it once was sadly.
