Love the river!
Pros:

The river and large room

Cons:

I wish when we got in the room the temperature was on 70 but it was on almost 80 and it took alright for it to cool down. So it was a little hot

Pros:

2nd year in a row staying at Brookside Lodge. We love this lodge. Pricing, amenities, cleanliness, breakfast and staff are all wonderful! The staff is very friendly and vey helpful. They go out of their way to make your stay great. Good complimentary breakfast (should add bacon) the beds are very comfy. Just got home yesterday and already planning next years visit to Gatlinburg and Brookside Lodge!

Gatlinburg is a great town and the lodge is in a great location.
Pros:

The location was perfect! Easy walk to downtown. The lodge has a beautiful stream that runs behind it which you can enjoy from the balcony.

The character of Brookside is excellent and we enjoyed the ambiance.
Pros:

The breakfast was acceptable. The staff were friendly and so sweet. They were also quite accommodating and prompt in fixing a running toilet. I loved the balcony and the view. The room itself was very characteristic so I liked it a lot.

Cons:

A phone, a clock would have been nice. We are old and need those. The floor was not fit to walk barefoot on, it was filthy. The pool really needs to add handicapped rails. We could not access the pool at all. There wasn't enough drawer space for two adults. Also there should have been 2 blankets instead of 1 since we used both beds. Also, the housekeeping should have at least offered to make the beds. We are both disabled.
