Great hotel in good location but with very average breakfast. Great staff, good pool and decent size rooms.

My partner and I stayed here with my partner's parents. Excellent and very helpful and caring staff. My partner's father got sick and he got the most amazing treatment from all staff. From taking to hospital to changing rooms. All staff did an amazing job. We are very grateful for the assistance given to us in a medical emergency situation.
About the hotel. Amazing. Great big rooms. Awesome breakfast. Great setup. Dam good cocktails. Loved the pizza. Awesome seating area at night. Loved our rooms a lot.

Excellent one week stay in this gorgeous hotel. Delightful, helpful staff, comfy rooms, great shower and bed.....Slept like a log after day long tours. Good a/c, clean pool which was hardly used by anyone other than me! Delightful.
I stayed in a bungalow which I highly recommend: very peaceful, no upstairs or neighbours to bother you. Perfect.
Yes, it's a little far out from the main centre but there is a courtesy bus so it's a minor issue.

The travel agency, Easia, informed The Bel Air Resort in Luang Prabang that the guest would be in a wheelchair so why did the hotel accept the booking when they knew perfectly well that the hotel is TOTALLY UNSUITABLE for people in wheelchairs?
Mrs R had no choice but to have breakfast in her room (room 320) as there were far too many steps to reach the restaurant area. She was unable to go to the swimming pool for the same reason.
Sadly, there were no support bars to grab when getting up from the toilet which resulted in Mrs M dislocating her left shoulder while trying to pull herself up. This resulted in her spending the rest of her holiday in hospital.
On leaving, the manager practically accused me of not paying the 17 dollar bill for the meal I had ordered the night before. He refused to take my word for it and phoned the staff to check. They confirmed I had indeed paid. What way is that to treat a guest? I felt quite upset by his reaction.
The wifi connection is dreadful as is reception on the television but there are, admittedly, many positive aspects of the hotel.

This rating is mainly due to the food (we are gastro tourists) and even though I’m not a breakfast person, on the daily it was sadly lacking. The resort (hotel) was not very highly occupied so 2 of our 4 days were al a carte and 2 were buffet when the Chinese tours were in town. Apart from our final day, the food was tragically cold, had been cooked some considerable time ago, even the coffee which Lao is famous for was barely luke warm. Our final breakfast was a step up though (apart from the coffee), perhaps our respectful feedback made a difference.

Enough about that as if food is not your bag, then most everything else was on point, location, room comfortable, beautiful large pool and attentive staff and a shuttle bus to the main centre/night market. They did forget to clean our room once but this was swiftly fixed.

Would we stay again, yes but no. I think there will be other smaller hotels with better breakfast food options and not such expensive snacks (maybe not such a grand pool though… so check it out for yourself).

Lovely hotel with a wonderful pool and gardens in a quiet area across the river from the main town center. The metal bridge with nighttime lights is safe. The old French-style design is charming, though I prefer modern. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Breakfast is okay, but they should offer more vegan options and plant milks like soy. When we asked for a vegan option from the a la carte breakfast menu on the morning the buffet was served, they wanted to charge extra. There were no vegan hot dishes or Asian vegan options. Housekeeping needs improvement; there was a big spiderweb in the shower and bedroom.

My husband and I stayed in a bungalow room near the pool. The bungalow was wonderful! It was spacious and beautiful. A/c was cold. Somewhat disappointing though, there is absolutely no Wi-Fi in this room, and barely any at the pool unless sitting very near the bar area. We were assured by the staff that there was signal, but finally just gave up.
The breakfast buffet was great. Staff in the restaurant were always pleasant and helpful.
Hotel is adjacent to the foot bridge over the river and just a short walk to downtown area. They also have a hotel shuttle that will drop you off at the night market, which is convenient. Plenty of tuk tuks to take you back to the hotel.

It’s such a shame that their website doesn’t work. Just not possible to book on it and their contact us page doesn’t work either. Not a great first impression and they clearly can not take care of detail and so I decided to stay elsewhere instead.

このホテルは、いかにも品の良いリゾート地に立地するホテルの体を成している。
しかし以下の2つ致命的な欠点があるため、一般的には勧めない。

1) ロケーション
ナイトマーケットやレストラン、寺院などいわゆるルアンパバーンの街まで行くために、このホテルのロケーションからだとどこへ行くのも徒歩で30分はかかる。
しかも必ず川の高所に架けられた鉄橋の端を歩いて渡らなければならない。
この鉄橋は車では通れないため、トゥクトゥクやタクシーは鉄橋の向こう側に渡って初めて利用することが出来る。
従って高所恐怖症の人は毎回冷や冷やしながら歩いて往復する必要がある。

2)WiFI
客室が数室ずつ固まったヴィラタイプで、それ自体は美しい。
しかしそのせいかWiFIが全く入らない。
自分でeSIMなどの準備をしておかないとネット環境はないものと考えた方が良い。

Lovely stay on the river in Luang Prabang. A little far from the center of town but that is a good and bad thing. There's a shuttle and you really feel a sense of space and comfort.

The hotel is located near the river, a short walk to the town, no shop, reception was ok, other staff in the hotel very friendly especially around the pool. Breakfast good, lots of choice, also for vegetarians, rooms large and beautiful ,tidy and clean rooms

This is a charming hotel located on the banks of the river. Nice spacious rooms with good service. There is an overall air of serenity which makes the stay here quite pleasant. The staff is not necessarily English speaking, but that does not come in the way of good service.

I was here for 3 nights and then returned another night after visiting Vang Vieng so I was in two different type rooms and they were both excellent.The second was on the second floor and have a nice balcony. But both rooms were very nice and felt luxurious. The location along the river is very nice and quiet since it is not right in the center of town. But it is also convenient enough to walk to the center of town and enjoy the markets and restaurants. The pool and spa were excellent and quiet. We arrived at the end of the rainy season so I don't think their evening dining options were fully functional yet. Breakfast was good but we enjoyed dinner each evening at one of the lovely and unique restaurants in the inner city. I can easily recommend this hotel.

It's a nice hotel in a convenient location. The only thing I didn't like was that they weren't operating their restaurant at night, so I was forced to go to the pool bar to order from the limited menu, or go off site.

I really liked the hotel. Beautiful grounds, cozy, bright, spacious room with a balcony, which opened up a beautiful view of the Mekong. Friendly staff. Delicious breakfasts, there is an option to order food to the room. I recommend this hotel

The hotel is just before the old bridge and therefore not directly in the city center. However, it's only 10 by foot to reach the down town. The rooms were nice and spacious. The hotel restaurant serve good food and the personal is very friendly. The swimming pool is very nice. The only little problem, was that the personal spoke very little English.
