A treat like no other
Pros:

We visited Babylonstoren for the farm to fork experience. The menus mostly offer dishes and wine that incorporate produce grown on the farm. We joined one of many workshops to draw inspiration from the working garden. Babylonstoren is my favorite place to eat, drink and be one with nature.

Perfect for honeymoon.
Pros:

Best place we have stayed in our lives!! We were celebrating our honeymoon here. Accommodation is so unique and cosy. They put hot water bottles and lit our fire in the evenings. Staff can’t do enough for you, food is 10/10 all fresh farm produce. Loved carnivore night. So many activities, highly recommend water buffalo tour and mountain drive. You defo need more than 1 night - so much to do!! We never wanted to leave.

The most beautiful and magical place I have ever visited - go there !

I rarely write reviews, but Babylonstoren deserves an exception.

This is, without question, the most beautiful place I have ever visited.

Everything about this estate feels magical. From the moment you arrive, there is an atmosphere that is almost impossible to describe. The gardens, the architecture, the vineyards, the mountains, the peacefulness - every detail has been created with extraordinary care.

What made the experience even more special were the people. Every single member of the staff was genuinely warm, welcoming and kind. Their hospitality felt effortless and sincere, making me feel at home from the very first minute.

One of the absolute highlights was exploring the estate by bicycle. It is the perfect way to discover this incredible place at your own pace, stopping whenever something catches your eye - which happens constantly.

And do yourself a favour: book the wine tasting. It is exceptional and completes the entire Babylonstoren experience.

Some places are beautiful. Others stay with you forever. Babylonstoren has become one of those rare places that keeps calling me back.

Beautiful stay but really underwhelming spa treatment, left a bad feeling about spa.
Pros:

Location and staff (mostly) were great.

Cons:

Had the worst spa treatment, therapist was on her phone during treatment. We got gifted another massage which was the least they could do but still not impressed with service.

Paradise Found
Pros:

Fabulous 3 nights. The room was beautifully furnished, the gardens and lake are divine to spend time in. There’s a great spa / pool house which we had mostly to ourselves. The complementary wine and olive oil tours were a great way to unwind.

Cons:

The property has an open bar for guests, but <100yards away, in the restaurant, they charge for the exact same wine from their vineyard. Felt off.

Pros:

We loved our stay here, would've stayed longer if our plans aligned. Everything was absolutely perfect and beyond. The only recommendation I would make is to have more vegan friendly options in their menus. We are definitely coming back!

Lovely but not relaxing
Pros:

Great cottage, super friendly staff, beautiful gardens. Better suited for families with children

Cons:

Spa and pool were very busy with not enough sun loungers so guest left as they had nowhere to sit it relax.
Very busy in the restaurants as they are not just for guests so overall it didn’t feel like a relaxing stay.
