Located in an impressive crescent. Friendly staff (who seemed stretched a bit too thin on a busy weekend).
Our room rate for a twin room for one night was £235. We feel that value for money was poor. The room itself was small and tired (no space for a bedside table on one side and beds right next to each other). Also, no lamps (had to get out of bed to switch off the light); moreover, there was no way to lock the door from the inside or safety chain (we were two females). The breakfast was cold and tasteless - bitter coffee, rubbery scrambled egg and bland eggs Benedict.
Lovely surroundings. Gorgeous staff who would do anything to help. Clean and comfortable. Breakfast exceptional
Nothing
great choice, well cooked and presented. excellent service.
Location was excellent. Hospitality exceptional. The food was lovely. Always plentiful
Carpet could of been cleaned lots of stains cleaning staff should be made aware
We didn’t stay at the hotel but had a drink in the lounge bar. Lovely decor and also as a bonus for us had a live entertainer who I have to say was one of the best solo artists we’ve seen in a long time. Only let down was the toilets need a good over haul to big them
Up to the standards of a very well presented bar.
Fantastic breakfast. Really couldn't be bettered. Staff are friendly and helpful. Location is fine.
We were on the third floor. There is some kind of bar on the basement level, blaring music all evening. Once in your room, you can hear a constant boom, boom, boom. Don't get me wrong, I love music, the louder the better, but not on the third floor at night.
Beautiful corner room well decorated, clean and welcoming exceptionally good breakfast

Everything.
Going home.
Decent location. Nice breakfast and staff were fab
A bit dated and a lot of money for a night in Scarborough. But tbf all accommodation here is overpriced.
Stayed here for 1 night in August after seeing live music at the open air theater. Clean and spacious room (could do with an update though), beautiful breakfast and very friendly staff.
Only 1 major downside was the loud base off the music in the basement that shook the full building (and our drinks) when we returned from our live music event. This continued until 1am, which was inconvenient after a long day and walk back from the theater.
When this was raised with the hotel, by another member of our party, the email back from the hotel was quite rude stating we should have enjoyed the music considering we were there for a music event ourselves. Kind of not how it works really.
Location and service excellent as was breakfast. Reasonably priced and far better than expected.
Rooms, bathroom were perhaps a bit tired but for an overnight stay, at the price we were very satisfied
Ideal Situation, the Staff were amazing ,straight away on arrival , couldn’t do enough, the Bedroom was just Lovely , could see the sea and Castle , and Breakfast for Gorgeous
Breakfast really good and staff are great. The room was clean although could do with updating and the carpet quite dirty and badly fitting.
Wish I’d been informed in enough time to change booking as the hotel had very loud booming music on until 1 am ie a month prior. I feel the hotel would have known for quite a while this was happening.
I was informed 2 days before the stay and after I’d been billed. I was only informed about when the music would stop when my daughter specifically asked the question. That info wasn’t volunteered. Items in my room were vibrating due to the loudness of the music and it was impossible to sleep until it had stopped. I didn’t want a 1am bedtime imposed on me. Really infuriating.
The bed in the single room was far too soft to get decent sleep. And to add, the fire alarm kept going off.
The next morning, no apologies for this.
This hotel is animal friendly. One guest arrived at the breakfast room with 2 dogs NOT on leads and the dogs then ran around the main area where other guests were eating, then another guest had his dog on a lead but he wasn’t holding it and his dog then proceeded to but his nose up on the food table. My daughter actually said ‘glad I’ve eaten’.
Very friendly staff, comfortable and spacious room which you don’t always find with a single room. Fabulous cooked breakfast. Close to station
Room was very warm even with the window open.
Staff were lovely, great service, welcoming and really helpful. The location is great and plenty of parking facilities around.
Bathroom ceiling had a fair bit of damp coming through. Noise levels from an event in the lounge downstairs was very high but they did send an email in advance with warning about potential noise a couple of days before the stay.
Beautiful hotel, the room was elegant and comfortable. The staff were all helpful, friendly and knowledgeable about the area. I would recommend this hotel for anyone wanting a great location in Scarborough.
That I was only staying 1 night, the whole experience was brilliant
