Important information:

The hotel is located on the Crescent Gardens which is next to Pay and Display parking bays. Hotel guests can buy a parking permit from reception on check-in for GBP 8 which covers the entire date of issue until 13.30 the following day. 2 multi-story car parks are adjacent to the hotel, and charges vary.

The hotel has anti-allergenic 100% goosedown quilts, so please use the special request section to inform the hotel of any allergy/dietary requirements.

For bookings of 4 rooms or more, the policy is as follows:

If canceled up to 3 weeks before the date of arrival date, no fee will be charged.
If canceled later or in the case of a no-show, 100 percent of the first night will be charged.

Guests can bring their own travel cot but they must inform the property in advance.

Please note that pets can only be accommodated in some Double or Twin room types, subject to availability and costs GBP 20 per stay.
A deposit may be required at the property.

Enjoyable 5-night stay - shame about the cricket this year.
Pros:

Breakfast; tea/coffee facilities in the room; dinner; location - easy access from the station and to most facilities. including walk to Anne Bronte's grave.

Cons:

The hotel has stopped offering "Scarborough Fair" beer on draught in the bar. I had to buy bottles. The downstairs bar was too noisy; no fridge in the room for chilling water etc.

Poor value for money

Located in an impressive crescent. Friendly staff (who seemed stretched a bit too thin on a busy weekend).

Cons:

Our room rate for a twin room for one night was £235. We feel that value for money was poor. The room itself was small and tired (no space for a bedside table on one side and beds right next to each other). Also, no lamps (had to get out of bed to switch off the light); moreover, there was no way to lock the door from the inside or safety chain (we were two females). The breakfast was cold and tasteless - bitter coffee, rubbery scrambled egg and bland eggs Benedict.

Hotel bar experience
Pros:

We didn’t stay at the hotel but had a drink in the lounge bar. Lovely decor and also as a bonus for us had a live entertainer who I have to say was one of the best solo artists we’ve seen in a long time. Only let down was the toilets need a good over haul to big them

Take ear plugs
Pros:

Fantastic breakfast. Really couldn't be bettered. Staff are friendly and helpful. Location is fine.

Cons:

We were on the third floor. There is some kind of bar on the basement level, blaring music all evening. Once in your room, you can hear a constant boom, boom, boom. Don't get me wrong, I love music, the louder the better, but not on the third floor at night.
