Great stay in historical Swiss hotel
Pros:

Beautiful historical Swiss hotel right in the centre of Appenzell but only a short walk to station. Staff throughout were amazing helpful and courteous. Breakfast was excellent with lots of choice including a cooked option. We were massively impressed and hope to return in the future

Cons:

We stayed during a 35 degree heatwave so room was a little hot as understandably there was no A/C. Staff supplied fan which helped tremendously. Would have liked tea/coffee making facilities in room but given the heat we made good use of the fridge in the room!

Sehr unkompliziertes Check-in, Upgrade bekommen, sehr nettes Personal, Top Lage in einem der schönsten Häuser in Appenzell. Gutes Frühstück.

Great place to stay while visiting Appenzell. Convenient location and friendly staff.
Pros:

Great location in Appenzell. Short walk to shops and train station. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We used the sauna after a day of hiking in the rain. Just what we needed! They stored our luggage overnight while we hiked to Aescher to stay one night.

Pros:

Frühstück sehr gut
Badezimmer komfortabel und sehr schön renoviert.
Gutes Abendessen mit netter und hilfreicher Bedienung
Einwandfreies Parking mit Ladestation für Elekto-Autos.

Cons:

Zimmer etwas altmodisch (alte Fenster, fehlende Storen)
Kleiner Lift (mühsam mit Kinderwagen)
Fluchtwege und Notausgänge nicht oder schlecht gekennzeichnet !

Excellent location. Nice and clean hotel and rooms. Very nice staff.
Pros:

Very central location. 5 minutes to the train station. Staff is very nice. The room was comfortable and clean. Very cute building and homey rooms. Clean bathroom. Good luggage room where we could park our suitcases after check-out.

Schönes Zimmer mit einer sehr guten Matratze.
