Pros:

Great location right next to the train station.
Extremely friendly staff who made my birthday stay truly special!
The room was comfortable and the balcony offered a lovely view of the hills

would stay again for my next visit
Pros:

Location is right next to the train station. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was spacious enough and very clean. We stayed on level 4 and enjoyed a superb view from our balcony.

A week In beautiful grindelwald
Pros:

Fortunately this was our 3rd stay at derby and once again the experience was amazing. The Staff were so kind and helpful especially Ricardo who gave us tips on things to do. He went out of the way to help and his tips on what to do were 10/10.
All the other Staff including the lady manager,(sorry didn't get her name) people serving at breakfast, lady at the reception were all ready to help. The Location is perfect and the entire team at derby deserve all the credit for the way they take care of their guests. Hope tp be back again

Friendly staff and good location
Pros:

The main reason I picked this hotel was because it was close to the train station. And after a day of travelling from Zurich I was definitely glad I didn't have to wheel my suitcase any further. On top of this the staff were super friendly and gave me tips on what else I could do when I realised I wasn't able to go to Grindelwald First because it was about to close. Staff also advised on weather conditions for going to Jungfraujoch in the days I was there (visibility was low but it was still worth going in my opinion). The hotel has a restaurant, which was a relief when my legs didn't want to walk further than the hotel after a hard day of touristing. The food was delicious (both the dinner I had and the daily breakfast). Even though the hotel was right beside the train station it wasn't noisy. The room included a balcony and the view of the mountains was lovely.

Cons:

There was nothing I didn't like.

Hotel perfeito!!!
Pros:

Hotel maravilhoso. Vista incrível da sacada que parece um quadro pintado a mão. Café da manhã maravilhoso. Hotel muito confortável e limpo. Tinha um rapaz português na recepção e uma moça portuguesa na equipe de café da manhã, os dois foram maravilhosos conosco. Chegar num país com uma língua diferente e encontrar funcionários que falam português e nos tratam tão bem assim, torna tudo muito mais especial. Obrigada Derby por nos proporcionar dias tão incríveis e nos fazer sentirmos em casa.

Memorable stay
Pros:

The location is the best…get down at Grindwald and in less than a minute reach your room. Excellent rooms and spacious and clean. We got eiger views from our room.

Pros:

They tidied up bathroom and beds daily.
Good breakfast
Being at the train station was a relief after long exhausting days exploring.

Cons:

Shower drain stunk. We complained the first morning and they did something - but it stunk again within a couple of hours. We kept door closed and fan going whole time. Drainage issue that bleach was not going to fix :(
Make sure that you are aware that north facing rooms are directly over train station. Like literally just metres away.
