The layout
Brilliant staff.Lovely food.Would recommend it.
It was our first experience taking our dog into an hotel, they were so accommodating any worries we had they took away very quickly, the food was good the rooms were clean & the staff were great. I will definitely go back
We couldn't fault it
The location, the staff, the food. Comfortable bed
A little difficult when you're not fully able, as there are a lot of stairs to negotiate
Nice location 👌
Breakfast.
Local meats would been bettert to serve .sausages were awful, not a lot of choice , no continental .
Don't bother with breakfast.
Clean
It was a very good breakfast. The room was very comfortable. The hotel was well situated & had a good size car park.
The bath was not very clean on the bottom ledge.
We had a carvery lunch on the Sunday. The carrots and broccoli were quite hard.
The full English breakfast on first day. Cosy bed
Not getting the full English breakfast on the second day
Location
Noise from above rooms.
Staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, the breakfast and evening meal we had was fantastic (though the service was slow), the bar had a great selection available, and the bed was very comfortable.
The bedrooms and bathrooms are a bit dated. The carpet was stained in parts. And while the bathrooms are a great size, the corner shower in my room was very, very small making it a challenge to shower.
The staff were very nice and the location is great, easy to find and plenty of parking spaces.
The carpet in the room was peppered with stains and looked very old and grimey, the toilet was grim and wasn't clean.
The location was excellent and the breakfast was very well cooked and presented with a good range. Also there was ample parking.
Room and ensuite could do with an update. Woken up at 05.30 by dog barking in adjacent room wasn't appreciated!
Great place to stay
The loud builder type man who was saying fuck or fucking. Every other word. In the bar . It was upsetting to hear
Staff are always lovely as it's a family run concern and after many years of staying there I and the friends I hook up with always feel welcomed and relaxed. The meals are great, the breakfast facilities are wonderful, too, and these are the things I value.
As I get older the difficulties getting upstairs without a lift are starting to be apparent. Apart from this...what's not to like?
