Great location and the pub has good character.
The breakfast was good but not great.

I know the current owner is looking to sell but staff turnover seems to be high and there aren't enough of them.
I attend musical weekends in Ettrickbridge several times a year so stay frequently (no other options!) and it could be a wonderful place. However, they are charging Edinburgh prices for an experience that is not commensurate. Plumbing dodgy in several rooms. Maintenance like dud bulbs and cobwebs on windows suggest a general lack of care.

As it was very hot on our stay, we were given a fan for the room, a sheet to replace the duvet if we do desired.
The meal was delicious as was breakfast.

It’s quiet, clean and comfortable. The staff are all very friendly. The dinner menu always has a high standard of food on offer. I always find it better than the usual pub menu choices.
