Luxurious hotel up the west coast worth every penny. Staff could not have been more welcoming.
Pros:

Room was extremely comfortable and well appointed. Beautiful views to the fynbos and sea. Huge bed and general bedroom facilities, too. In-room fireplace kept us warm and cosy when it got chilly after dinner.

Cons:

There was nothing I did not like about the hotel.

No lounge. Public area cold and unwelcoming. No plug points for charging other than low on floor behind heavy bedside tables in room. No coffee shop for light snacks

My best and most wonderful accommodations ever
Pros:

On a beautiful beach in a quaint fishing village with best in the world facilities- top restaurant, spa, spacious luxury accommodation and world class service. Many extra’s such as heated pool, beautiful beach, free old school bicycles to explore the nearby town, security, digital devices in room, coffee/ tea station with privacy and spectacular views, and hotel transportation to take and collect you from your evening out (No UBER available)

Pros:

Strandloper is close to the beach so very easy to go for a walk on the beach and so enjoyable to watch the different moods of the sea from a lounger

Nothing short of ordinary - outstanding!
Pros:

Breakfast menu has something for everyone and was absolutely delicious. We had omelettes. Dinners were out of this world and we ate the Sustainable Fish, the kingklip was beautifully cooked and the kabeljou was also outstanding.

Cons:

The smoke detector light going off all the time so I blocked it with a cushion so it didn't wake us up.

Great weekend break .. just a bit of flexibility required for meal times .
Pros:

Fantastic location and very private . Rooms are a very good size .

Cons:

The room I got did not have a bath tub . For the pricing , you would expect one. Also while the food and the service is outstanding , it is strange that you cannot get in for lunch after 13:30 , even though there was space available. Lunch ends at 15:00 pm. At 13:30 I had to seek permission from the manager.
