Does when it says on tin - great stay !
Pros:

It's a really slick ' business style hotel in good location
Everything is stylish , beds and aircon good ( my non negotiable ) . Views amazing . Pool great , gym good
All in all a good hotel as it should be for the price
Oh and there a 7- eleven in the building - bonus !!

Cons:

Extras such a laundry expensive if you need
I know it's a Japanese chain but would have liked more Thai breakfast options

Excellent hotel in the city center
Pros:

The Okura is everything you expect from a very good hotel in the city center.
The room is very spacious, the design is nice, the bed is very comfortable , the breakfast is excellent (one of the best I had) and the staff very attentive and helpful.
Ah, and they have Japanese toilets !

Treat yourself to a comfortable, luxurious stay in the heart of Bangkok
Pros:

The food was great - especially the Japanese food. The sushi rolls in the lounge were exceptional and made for a loverly afternoon snack. It's also rare in Asia to find such a good cheese selection.

We saw the GM multiple times, he was interacting with staff and guests. He chatted to us twice about our stay. We even saw him clearing dishes - a sign of a good leader is leading from the back pf the pack and supporting his staff.

The pool is stunning - amazing views, suspended over Bangkok, but still intimate so it never feels crowded.

Our room was spacious and well designed - privacy in the bathroom area when you needed it, plenty of storage, nice touch to provide origami instructions with the turn down service.

And a good location if you want to experience both the craziness of Sukhumvit and the elegance of Lumphini Park and Santhorn.

Cons:

Our room felt a bit damp when we could come back in the evening, the sheets a bit sticky.
