Good location, good room with ironing facilities, hairdryer, bath with shower over. Very nice bar area. Very good food and great service.
It was too hot in the room as there was no air conditioning but a small fan was provided. The car park was initially difficult to find without asking for directions.
Lively friendly staff, great place. Nice and clean. Lovely food!!
Nothing
We liked its location & facilities
Despite the hotel not being fully booked by far, our room was on the second floor far away from the stairs creating a struggle with luggage etc. I believe this was because we booked via Booking.com as a neighbouring room also booked via Booking.com.
Food was good and good prices.
Perhaps the velux windows upstairs should be opened, it was very hot on the landings and warm in room.
Traffic noise due to temp lights at front of hotel, a room towards the rear would be preferable another time.
Exceptional service
Everything was great.
Friendly staff
Tasty food
Had to wait an hour for our main course when we didn’t order a starter It would appear that there are some staff difficulties
During the early hours there was a fracas outside our room that I had to address
Breakfast not freshly cooked
Great town centre location. Good secure parking for motorcycle.
Saturday night - so a little noisy outside until the early hours (had to have window open as weather was hot)
Perfect location for our visit to Powis Castle
Due to the heatwave our second floor room was very hot and an uncomfortable sleep with little ventilation and no air conditioning. The hotel provided a fan and did their best in difficult circumstances that were out of their control….. but this wouldn’t stop us booking again next year!!!!!
hotel in the town center, nice bar
the room was quite small
Everything was good, Good Eggs Benedict. Nice and cozy. Safe parking
Only there could be more bread on the buffet for breakfast.
Fans in the room, room very roomy, staff pleasant, good location
Could do with a small fridge in the room, bar prices expensive, not much atmosphere in the dining area, quite posh
Breakfast was lovely, especially eggs Benedict and eggs Royal
No lift, I was struggling going up and down
I could not open window wide, very hot in the room
I loved the history of the place. The bar, coffeeshop, restaurant were amazing!
The wifi was glitchy
Impressive hotel especially given it's size and old age. Room was large, clean and had everything expected. Staff very welcoming. Food was very good. Communal areas all very good.
