Generous bedroom size. Nice dining area with triple aspect windows to allow light flow and the views! Good quality food is cooked to order and David is a delightful young man!
Marmalade is yummy!!
The breakfast cart has seen better days! Just offer tea/coffee and toast with homemade marmalade whilst waiting for a nicely cooked breakfast would leave a better impression!
A lovely property with very spacious rooms and comfortable big beds. Dog friendly. A very good breakfast. Room nicely decorated with lovely views.

Everything, vile staff, vile service. Avoid at all cost.
The beautiful grounds
Needed up dating, bathroom tiles were in need of grouting. Bedroom very tired looking. We paid for a suite but got a small twin for the same price. When I questioned this, they said it was all the same price!
Beautiful setting , lovely building , atmospheric . Have boated many times
The dinner was excellent , however the breakfast was nowhere near as good as the last time I stayed , the meat option wasn’t great and veggie option was basically a kind of stir fry , not a Breakfast dish , the vegan black pudding listed wasn’t available , on asking why was told the menu was changing . It felt like a professional cook wasn’t available that morning . It’s a shame as I really like the place
Dinner and breakfast extremely good. Staff excellent.

The venue was beautiful, the suite i booked was fantastic, really spacious and with a view to die for, we spent a couple of hours with a bottle of wine just looking out, the food was top notch, a pity I couldn't do the fish pie justice as it was excellent, my wife had the pork chop which she thoroughly enjoyed, breakfast was to the same standard.
Nothing really, gardens were a bit disappointing probably due to the heatwaves. Outside furniture on the terrace could do with some t.l.c.

If you like old world charm creaking floor boards and friendly family run hotel this is for you
A very quiet rural setting plenty of sign posts to help find the hotel and ample parking
We had the ‘booking .com’ room I have noticed whenever we have booked through the site we are given a poor choice of room
The one at this hotel had a great view of the roof to a function room
The bedroom was very much of dated times but the prices of a meagre cheese board were not £15.00 for 3 slithers of basic cheese
Old school service & charm

The location is beautiful and very peaceful. The terrace was such a lovely place to sit in the evening. Breakfast was delicious. Staff were really friendly. Room was spacious.
Was a beautiful spot and perfect to get into the local town
There was anyway we could get in late at night and had to wait so maybe a access card needed? A long wait to be served for breakfast
