Pros:

Location great, right by the ferry building, and close to my work location for the day. Very old and historic, and quite lovely to stay in for a night. Cost me $121, which I think was great value for money.

Cons:

I would have liked better facilities in the room, and also a restaurant at the hotel (but that wasn't major).

An old favourite.
Pros:

We love the old world ambience of this hotel. The location near the wharf and restaurants is excellent.

Cons:

The room we had this time was disappointing. We've had several better rooms on numerous previous stays. A bit cramped, and a bit tired.

Pros:

We stayed in the Deluxe Suite, which is a generously proportioned flat. The bathrooms are particularly luxurious. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Cons:

The kitchen could have been a bit more generous (some salt, perhaps, or enough cutlery) but nevertheless we managed fine.

Great value. Esplanade has old charm. Despereately needs a complete refurb. Staff were stretched.
