Good views. Close proximity to shops. Loaded with history.
Getting out onto the deck was a bit awkward. Especially for someone on crutches.
Location.
Bed was a bit uncomfortable.
Location and view, easy to get around Devonport by foot.
The old style building
I absolutely loved this hotel. It was a last-minute booking but it couldn’t have been better - so classic but well maintained.
There’s nothing I didn’t like. We had a lovely room with plenty of space and a large bath and shower.
Great location beautiful building. I’ve stayed there 3 times in last few years. Staff is lovely. The rooms are large with tall ceilings and it has a very Parisian feel to it. As for facilites there’s no gym or pool or anything like that but the park is across the street for exercise. The hotel has a great view and I spent a lot of time on the balcony reading, relaxing, and people watching. I highly recommend
I loved staying at The Esplanade Hotel. The best part was that they upgraded us to the Queen’s Suite free of charge. It was a wonderful room, beautifully preserved with 1900s vintage designs, and it had a huge balcony overlooking the harbour.
The spacious living room, comfortable bed, and the massive bathroom made the stay even more special. The location is fantastic as well, close to everything you need.
A truly relaxing stay and worth every penny.
Locations
Friendly check in, great price already, got an upgrade, awesome place to stay, right on the waterfront
Nothing
The location is good, I did nit eat in the hotel
The property is in a tragic state, the walls are moldy and the wallpaper is separated all over. The curtains are dirty, and overall the whole hotel needs a mayor renovation, it's really not in a good state.
Devonport is my hometown- always love staying there
Good location
The room was not that great
Great views. Very handy to shops and ferry.
Great room with views of harbour
