Ideal position for stopover whilst visiting area. Lovely large outside area & plenty of room inside.
A little more attention to cleaning in bedrooms would have been preferable.
Food was ok but nothing special for the price.
All good, from the friendly girl who checked us in to the alfresco dinner very comfortable stay.
Nothing.
Thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast, they were happy to add or leave parts of the breakfast if asked. Portions were fantastic. Service came with a smile.
Comfy bed and good breakfast served by friendly staff
Nothing
Great location for our visits to Warwick Castle & Cadburys World. Kids enjoyed playing in the fields it is surrounded by, Staff were lovely and breakfast was good too
Only thing that would have made it even better was air con
Everything about the Throckmorton is consistently great. Rooms have recently been nicely refurbished. Some rooms can be a bit small, but the one I had had plenty of room. Outside seating is excellent with good views of the countryside and away from the cars!
Unfortunately it was one of the hottest days of the year and the fan in the room (on the light fitting) was not working properly - it was clearly either on the wrong way up (or spinning the wrong way) because the draft was going upwards to the ceiling not down into the room. The staff did say several people had reported a similar issue and they were going to look into it - hope it's fixed before the next heatwave!
Also the lack of a socket beside the beds since the refurb is irritating because it means having to plug phones etc the opposite side of the room, which is unhelpful when you want to review things on your phone in bed or when the alarm goes!
Breakfast excellent
Throckmortom closed at 9:30pm had to go into town.
This is our third stay here over the years; it's always good. Easy check-in, comfy room, good evening dinner
Cobwebs in the bar/dining area
It was fine and the location was ideal for us.
Nothing.
comfy bed, but room itself very dusty. quiet location and facilities in the room (toilet, shower etc) all fine but no toiletries provided.
breakfast was below average and coffee wasnt great
Clean room and public areas. Breakfast was good, especially the coffee.
A problem with the TV was remedied immediately.
Staff were all friendly and helpful.
Big things: The room was left unlocked 2 days running by the cleaners. The coffee sachets were not replenished one day of three. Both unacceptable.
Medium things: Bathroom was not cleaned properly and the bed was given a 'straighten' rather than being 'made'.
Little things: The room was not as big as expected and the huge bed was too big for it. That meant that there was no room for a sofa, and there was no public space to relax in. The kettle was too big to fill under the basin tap - actually too big for a double room. Only 4 coffee sachets - 2 of which were decaffeinated - and no replacements available when the bar was not open. The shower cubicle was comically small - I am by no means big but my knees and elbows were constantly banging against the doors and walls.
