Great hotel. Shame about waitress with a bad attitude in the restaurant.
Pros:

We stayed here for 1 night when we broke down in Birmingham. It was a lovely hotel. Such nice friendly staff on reception. Really comfy rooms.

Cons:

Head waitress in the main restaurant/bar area had a REALLY bad attitude and thought she was the queen of the world.

We asked for a table in the completely empty restaurant, and she told us she was fully booked. Then made us sit and wait for half an hour while not even half of the tables filled up to then tell us we could have a table. Her attitude towards us wasnt great. We waited for a table but ended up leaving anyway because she ruined it for us.

Good location but overpriced
Pros:

Lots of pleasant communal spaces, comfy beds

Cons:

Naff shower and tea/coffee for the price point. No room fridge, and noise from the building works during the day

Staff were accommodating
I asked for a good view and I was given one.

Cons:

I paid for the breakfast but when I went to the restaurant, I was told that my name is not on the list and it took 10m to finally allow me in. My room floor was not clear.

Poor from start to finish
Pros:

Rooms were clean and tidy and comfortable.

Cons:

The restaurant food was poor, sent back starters as the hot honey cajun chicken, was pale, Cajunless, only shown the honey jar and not used. Goats cheese tart was cold and went the same way. Breakfast was overcooked and over priced. Service was terrible.

The Reception team made you feel like they were doing you a favour to check you in and out. Not a smile, no good afternoon or good morning, poor customer service. 4th time I have stayed here and worst it has ever been.

The Shower, the rainfall head dribbled out, clearly not been cleaned out ever. The shower glass partition is inadequate, water splashes out everywhere.

The wardrobe opens out almost against the wall, making ha hing clothes from case to wardrobe, a real pain.
