Peaceful location with comfortable rooms
Pros:

Bedrooms were well equipped with rest inducing soft furnishings and very comfortable beds and pillows. Staff were professional, courteous and attentive.

Cons:

The portion sizes at dinner in the restaurant were on the small side for the pricing.

Pros:

We stayed for 6 nights so met lots of the staff and, without exception, they were all lovely, friendly and helpful. Our first floor room was comfortable and surprisingly quiet given that the ground floor was a bar and restaurant. As vegetarians, it was wonderful to have such an excellent choice of cooked breakfasts - a rarity and much appreciated!
The parking was easy. We were in a great location for visiting the area, We had a great stay!

It was all good so nothing to complain about.

Peddars Way stay
Pros:

Well placed for walking the Peddars Way, very friendly and helpful staff, excellent evening meal, good shower. Good cooked breakfast options.

Cons:

The room was quite small (for the price) and there was no bedside table on one side - I used a chair. Although the cooked breakfast options were good, we thought some cut fruit could have been available, also margarine, especially considering this was by far the most expensive night of our walk.
