Comfortable Place.
Pros:

We were glad to have booked this hotel- 6 nights. Staff were pleasant and always ready to offer assistance. Our check-in and out process was quick and easy. Our room was clean, spacious and well maintained. It came with the usual amenities. Wifi connection was strong throughout the property. The hotel is a short walk to many historical places of interest. Shops and restaurants are also within walking distance. There is overnight valet parking for a fee. This is a great place to stay in historic Philadelphia.

Great IHG choice
Pros:

Very nice IHG hotel right across the street from Independence Hall. The rooms are beautiful. The only small hiccup was the very slow valet service. We checked out at 11:30 and it took an hour for them to bring our car.Other than that, it was a great stay.

Cons:

バスルームのお湯が出るまでに相当時間がかかる。水圧が弱い。
バレーパーキングの配車に時間がかかりすぎ、車の配車は控えのチケットに電話をするが、電話をしてから1時間10分待たされ。

USA 250th Birthday weekend
Pros:

I booked the room back in the Fall 2025 as I knew we were going to be in Philly for the 250th, World Cup, and also our anniversary weekend. We've been looking forward to this weekend literally all year. I have stayed at a Kimpton in Pittsburg so I was excited for the quirky decor. Unfortunately, our room was as bleak as they come! I was shocked. It looked nothing like any of the pictures online. I was instantly let down. I appreciated the 3 comp breakfasts and bottle of red wine in our room but was hoping there would be something more patriotic for the guests as well - mini flags, headbands or sunglasses on theme, something to mark the special holiday especially being directly across the street from Liberty Hall! The location of this hotel is the best. I would recommend staying here especially if it's your first time in Philly. It is literally in the center of so much history! The bed was comfortable, the room was quiet, the view of Liberty Hall was spectacular, and the breakfast was delicious. For the $ I paid for the special view on this special weekend, I had higher expectations of the accommodations/decor.

Horrible valet parking service
Pros:

DO NOT PAY FOR VALET PARKING!!!!!!

We have been waiting over an hour for our car.

Zero help from staff. In fact, one employee was snickering as another guest complained as she, too, had been waiting over 50 minutes.

No accountability and another employee said they had no authority to cancel our parking for the remainder of our 6 night stay.

This is a major detention from what is otherwise a nice hotel.

Will add that iced coffee bar was dismantled promptly at 9:00 am. Wish the parking was as timely.

A Gem In The Heart Of Old City Philadelphia.
Pros:

Literally steps to the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall. All local attractions within walking distance. This boutique hotel is spotless and the staff is beyond helpful and friendly. The rooms are updated and the beds are really comfortable. We booked a package that included valet parking. We parked the car and never needed it again. We were celebrating a milestone birthday and we received the nicest gifts from the Roshid the Concierge. Worth every penny and will definitely stay again.

Made Us Want to Come Back
Pros:

Roshid was an amazing concierge. He had great suggestions and was attentive to my family’s allergy needs as well. He made the experience much more pleasantthan I anticipated to be, and anything that I brought to his attention was addressed promptly and quickly by him or the hotel.

Perfect location and amazing family friendly service
Pros:

Had a terrific stay at the Kimpton Monaco. Roshid and staff were incredibly thoughtful and welcoming for our son's first visit to Philly right before his birthday. Roshid left our son a welcome birthday sign and goodie bag and provided great tips on historical sites and science museums. The location next to Independence Hall cannot be beat. Also an easy walk to the harbor and restaurants. The room was newly renovated and much larger than hotel room generally expect in a major city. The restaurant in the hotel was excellent for breakfast. Will definitely stay here again!

Old School Service
Pros:

Beautiful Hotel in the middle of old town Philadelphia. The best thing about it, is the service, top shelf, first cabin old school service. We have a room facing Independence Hall, absolutely stunning view! The rooms are large, clean with really comfortable beds and a shower with a handheld sprayer. The Red Owl Tavern has delicious food and drinks. It rained one day, so we asked for a Hot Toddy and the bartender delivered, the best I've ever had! Everything we had there was delicious and again, great service!

Terrible service and misleading bookings—vouchers don't fix…
Pros:

Do not book the Kimpton Hotel Monaco Philadelphia if you expect to actually receive the room you paid for. I intentionally paid a premium price specifically to secure a certain room type. Prior to booking, I explicitly inquired about the room and view to ensure it met my specific requests. Upon arrival, I was hit with total misinformation and told that the room type could feature any random view, completely disregarding what I was promised. The website contains information about the view and that was also not the room I received. I see it as total bait & switch.
When I brought this up, management proved completely incompetent. They are utterly unable to correct actual structural or operational issues. They said all those rooms are filled. Instead of taking accountability or fixing their mistake, their only solution was to aggressively push a food or drink voucher to buy my silence. A cheap voucher does not make up for bait-and-switch booking tactics and a ruined stay. For the premium rates they charge, the customer service here is a complete joke. Avoid this place if you value honesty and competence.
