Great Hotel..lovely room, but bed too soft.
Pros:

Hotel was clean & modern. Spacious rooms. Good soundproofing. Only noise was from man talking loudly in corridor late at night. Really nice hotel.

Cons:

The bed. It was too soft & sunken in the middle. Was like trying to sleep in a two person hammock. The mattress or bed needs replacing. Only stayed one night & arrived late, due to traffic, so didn't complain.

Enjoyable stay, was too short to use all the facilities.
Pros:

The restaurant and bar on the 5th floor is excellent. Sitting down and doing plane spotting was fun with friends and daughter. Lovely decoration and staff were very helpful

The hotel overlooking the airport
Pros:

Over the last few years we have stayed in several different hotels in Southend and for us, this was the best one. The staff were excellent, very professional. Everyone we spoke to knew their job and did it well.
The standard room was nice, a good size and with everything we needed. This was probably our last visit to Southend but if we did come back then we would definitely stay here again.
We travelled to Southend by train so this hotel was very convenient for us being so near the airport railway station. Also the restaurant on the fifth floor overlooks the airport so you get an interesting view whilst having your breakfast. The breakfast was the usual buffet style but again it was done well with plenty of choices and for us everything appeared fresh and was well stocked.
With the location overlooking the airport, we were a little concerned about noise but in the end we didn't notice anything so we were very happy.
Overall this was our best stay in Southend. Thank you.

Cons:

Although the hotel and room were clean, they did look a little tired, the hotel is probably due a make over soon but that was the only negative and it didn't really detract from our experience.
