Magical location , wonderful hotel , amazing staff
Pros:

The hotel is amazing, it’s been in the same family for 4 generations. The perfect blend of old world charm with all the modern amenities. Everywhere was so clean and well kept. The cocktails at night were very good quality. Wonderful staff could not be more helpful. Breakfast was great especially the hot chocolate on tap 😀

Superbe!

Nous avons passé quatre excellentes nuits à l'Hôtel du Lion d'or à Cauterets et nous en gardons un merveilleux souvenir !

La chambre était impeccable, très confortable, parfaitement entretenue et agréable à vivre. C'est un véritable hôtel de charme, avec une décoration soignée, élégante et pleine de goût. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié le calme et la qualité de la literie, qui nous ont permis de passer de très bonnes nuits.

L'accueil mérite une mention spéciale : toute l'équipe a été d'une gentillesse, d'un professionnalisme et d'une disponibilité remarquables. Nous nous sommes sentis les bienvenus dès notre arrivée, avec un service toujours souriant et attentionné.

Enfin, l'emplacement est tout simplement idéal. L'hôtel est parfaitement situé pour profiter de Cauterets, avec un accès facile aux commerces, aux restaurants et aux nombreuses activités de la région.

Nous recommandons cet hôtel sans la moindre hésitation et y reviendrons avec grand plaisir lors d'un prochain séjour !

Pros:

An absolutely fantastic hotel. It feels as if you’re staying aboard a classic ship, with beautifully varnished wooden floors and a stunning alpine-style interior design. The location is excellent, right across from the thermal baths.

Last but certainly not least, the breakfast is outstanding: homemade jams, an extensive selection of fresh breads, high-quality cold cuts and cheeses, and plenty of fresh fruit. A perfect 10/10 experience.

Superb views from a charming old hotel
Pros:

A Beautiful old hotel with superb views of the mountains. The host Thomas was very helpful. The room was stylish and comfortable. Tea/coffee and an electric jug was provided. Located in a quiet street near a parking area. Dinner and breakfast were homemade and generous (at an additional price).

Hotel chaleureux, le personnel est très sympathique, le petit dejeuner très bien, les chambres de belle taille, et bien équipées, très bonne literie.
L'emplacement est idéal, au centre de cauteret et juste en face des bains.

Familiehotel. Vierde generatie. Supervriendelijk. Drie generaties waren er aan t werk. Mooie authentieke inrichting, heel netjes. Ontbijt was heerlijk met veel zelfgemaakte dingen. Mooie uitvalsbasis voor wandeltochten. Achter het hotel zit les Bains du Rocher; heerlijk zwembad met sauna.
