Please note that an airport shuttle pickup and drop off is available, and the cost of it is EUR 42 per ride from 6:00 to 2200, and for EUR 45 per ride from 22:00 until 6:00.

I have stayed at Metropol Palace many times, but unfortunately, this visit was very disappointing.

We were given a room on the second floor that was dirty, noisy, and smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. I asked for a toothbrush several times in the morning and was repeatedly promised one, but it never arrived. They could have simply told me it wasn’t available, and I would have bought one myself. I also had to wait almost an hour just for a fork and knife.

The hotel was overcrowded with corporate groups, and the constant smell of cigarettes was unpleasant.

On the positive side, the bar was good, and breakfast was decent, as usual.

Sadly, the overall experience was far below my expectations, especially as a returning guest. I honestly don’t think I’ll be coming back.

Beautiful hotel that needs some TLC.
Pros:

A solid 5 stars hotel with all needed facilities in working order. Staff were helpful and courteous.

Cons:

It’s a bit old and maintained is laking it’s a shame for such a beautiful and historical hotel.

Pros:

Breakfast was excellent, including the coffee. I appreciated the room amenities and toiletries, the welcome treats on the first day, and the bottle of water provided each day. The room was very comfortable, and the pool and spa facilities met my needs well. Overall, I had a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Cons:

I found it rather odd that a bathrobe, toothbrush, and toothpaste were not provided during the first three days of my stay but were supplied on the following days. I also felt that the daily housekeeping could have been more thorough. Clear instructions on how to use the bathtub would have been helpful.
