Annex Extension-
Please note that we have 6 rooms our extension at the back of the hotel. Please let the property know in advance if you would prefer a room in the main hotel.

Housekeeping-
In recent years we have stopped automatically doing room services as more of our customers preferred privacy to a Housekeeper knocking on their door at 9am. However, we of course do not want this to get in the way of good customer service so-
-At our Reception, we have a glass cabinet full of lots of extra free supplies- help yourself.
-If you brought us your wet towels, we will exchange them for fresh ones.
-If you would like your room cleaned, please request it the night before and we will schedule you for the next day’s list. This will of course be free.
If you want your room cleaned daily, please don’t let this put you off booking. Just let us know on check-in and we will book you in every day!
Also, all of our toiletries are in dispensers as we have gone eco-friendly and limit our plastics.

Cots-
If you require a cot please check with the hotel that your room will fit a cot, otherwise you may need to upgrade to a room that does. Also please check we have one available and they are not all booked out. Cots are £10 per night, and we provide a sheet but after that ask that you bring your own bedding so that it suits your child’s needs. Alternatively, you are welcome to bring your own cot and then we do not charge for the extra child in the room.

Grade II Listed Building-
As a Grade II Listed Georgian Building, we are subject to regulations which protect the historical and architectural significance. This building is of a special interest meaning alterations cannot be carried out without relevant consent.
What this means... is that we have done our best to update the property to make it modern, clean, and comfortable. Amazing for entertainment
Pros:

The room had a kettle and packets of coffee.

Cons:

If you're looking for a full sensory experience, this place delivers.

The bed had a crater in the middle so impressive I briefly considered naming it and applying for planning permission. Most of the springs had clearly retired years ago and were enjoying a well-earned rest.

The walls were so thin I got to know my neighbours better than some of my relatives. Combined with the constant symphony of slamming doors and creaking floorboards, sleep became more of a suggestion than an activity.
The door lock was positioned about a foot off the floor for reasons known only to the architect. Perhaps it was designed for very security-conscious toddlers.

The bathroom fan deserves special recognition. Once switched on, it continued running for approximately three hours, displaying a level of dedication and commitment sadly lacking in the mattress springs.

Overall, if you've ever wondered what it would be like to sleep in a noisy train station while slowly rolling into a mattress shaped sinkhole, this is the place for you.

Hotel was Disappointing, but we made the most of the surrounding area
Pros:

Breakfast was good but if the men were serving we had to ask for the table to be cleaned as they only took away the plates etc.

Cons:

Car Park was £10 per night and had to leave keys so they could shuffle cars around as they were stacked in front of each other, or free parking 10-15 min walk, we were expecting the free parking to be on site, we were told it’s in their description but we were welcome to pay the road parking outside which was much more expensive. We had to sign terms and conditions with no time to read them in full or any choice but to sign, talking to other guest we had agreed to be fined if you made any noise or didn’t obey the rules. We stayed in a silver room, which had been recently decorated so it was clean, but very small and noisy, TV was fitted unlevel which was weird, curtains didn’t cover the sides so light came in early. We had to ask for clean towel’s when we arrived as the existing had brown marks on them, no soap when we arrived, the only soap is in a dispenser over the sink so we had to buy soap to use in the shower. No towel rail or hooks to hang wet towels no hooks to hang coats, two hooks were fitted towards the end of our stay after we requested them. Personal preference the bar had to entertain you throughout the evening, i.e. bingo etc only 3 people wanted to play out of a almost full bar so everyone had to put up with it, so we only spent one evening in the hotel. Darts and Karaoke were very expensive i.e. £22 to play darts.

Parking is £10, the lift doesn't work
Pros:

The breakfast was very good, as was the food from the smokehouse/Three Chimneys.
The bed was comfortable.
The room was like a combination of student accommodation from the 1970's with some nice updated touches (such as the lights).

Cons:

Parking was £10 - there was the option of parking in a car park 10-15 minutes walk away (£20 refundable deposit for that), but who wants to be that far away? If you pay you have to leave your key in reception, as the car park is small and they have to shuffle around the cars to allow patrons to leave.
The lift doesn't work - hope that you are not on a high floor or there will be lots of stairs to traverse.
The walls were very thin - there is actually a rule in the hotel booklet which says they will fine you if you are noisy in your room between 10 pm and 8 am! Unfortunately one of the people in a room near me was a heavy snorer.
The room was described as ensuite - what you expect when you read that is a bathroom. What this meant was that there was a shower cubicle just inside the door to the room, a toilet in a small cupboard-room opposite that, and a hand basin in the room itself. The hand basin had a large crack in it. The frame at the base of the shower door rubbed against the shower door, leaving missing paint and dirt.
The room was small - with a double bed, there wasn't actually sufficient space to have an open suitcase, except on the bed.

Pros:

Worst rooms ever
Pros:

Nice bar and breakfast was good. Location also good.

Cons:

I am not sure if my room was actually cleaned. Damp dirty towel on bed which I had to ask for a new one. Bin had not been emptied and toilet had remains from previous guest. I have a feeling the bed linen was not changed either.

Shower was terrible and the basin filled up instantly when you had a shower. The dribble that came out was either extremely hot or cold.

The room was probably the worst I have ever stayed in and basically everything needs changing.

They say they have parking at the hotel. Charging people for that is a joke.

That was an experience to forget.

Well worth the stay
Pros:

Very comfortable and clean room. All staff friendly and accommodating. Bar prices are good.

Cons:

Not a complaint really but the shower cubicle in our room was quite small and I found it a bit claustrophobic.

It’s says Renewed Jubilee Hotel, it needs a revamp
Pros:

The Hotel was in a good Location, a good walk along the seafront to town and entertainment and just across from beach and beach hutt.

Cons:

It’s a Hostel inside, The carpet is awful throughout and didn’t feel clean. So many stairs to rooms with your luggage was hard work, there is a lift but was broken. Parking here is horrendous you have to give you key in so they can move it around to let other cars in and out, this made me anxious as one car got scraped. Shower cubicals like a caravan.

I was shocked as I chose this over a premier Inn as wanted more luxurious stay and it’s was more money, the rooms should be much lower in prices. My friend stayed in a Bronze and it was a Box Room - SHOCKING

Would rather get an Airbnb next time..
Pros:

The sea view was the saving grace once we have complained about our original room and was relocated here.

Cons:

Our original room was not great. Small for a family of 4, at the back of the property and no views. The rooms and beds were all old. The pics are deceiving.. The whole building actually needs to be refurb really. The parking out back was super tight to get in and was full so had to walk 10mins away to park (permit complimentary of hotel) so was rather inconvenient with kids and all the luggage we had with us. They upgraded up to top floor sea view at the front of the building which is much more spacious and liveable. The sofabed caves in, even for my little 6yr old to sleep on and he hardly weighs anything.... disappointing to say the least.
The Sea view was the saving grace really... Otherwise the rating would be much lower.
