Enjoyed it
Pros:

Dovecliff staff were very helpful. The rooms were good but nothing fancy. We had a ground floor room as requested. It was fairly large and clean. Breakfast was excellent

Cons:

Dovecliff is really off the beaten track. It was a fair drive to get to town. Not much happening in town.

A nice, comfortable, pleasant stay in a lovely location. Slightly dated in areas. Would stay again
Pros:

Comfortable, big bed and a nice view from the room.
Ver grand impressive venue entrance.
really friendly staff. The tea tray was great and also bottled water.

Cons:

The room was a little dated and there were a few bugs / cobwebs in the bathroom.
No iron in the room, I arrived a little later in the evening so didn't want to inconvenience the night team asking for one so I used my straighteners. I didn't see phone in the room to contact reception if i needed anything and I was a while away from reception in room 9. A late arrival, I had had a shower and didn't really want to walk down to reception.

One night stay only, would not stay longer
Pros:

Location, nice staff, good breakfast

Cons:

Hotel is very dated, could do with an upgrade! I was given a room with bathroom which had obvious signs of water damage on the floor. The toilet kept flushing continuously which I reported to reception early evening on my way out. Was not repaired at that point and continued all through the night. That room should not have been sold with this problem.

A perfect stay to end our wedding day.
Pros:

Everything was brilliant! Sitting in the garden during breakfast was perfect.

Cons:

Only tiny thing we had was that the room was a touch warm, nothing worth complaining about though. It just meant shorts and a t-shirt instead!

Quiet, comfortable relaxing stay
Pros:

Large room with lovely outside patio area

Cons:

I couldn’t use the wardrobe because it contained a bed, ironing board, bedding therefore very limited hanging space. Is it a store cupboard or is it a wardrobe? The patio was very pleasant, however it was very dirty such a shame.

Should be a good hotel but lots of room for improvement at present
Pros:

The serving staff were all friendly and helpful. The room clean and comfortable. Breakfasts very good.

Cons:

Water pressure in the room was very poor. Junior suite advertised as having a view, our view was the car park and a pile of building materials. The hotel was very quiet, we should have been given a different room with better plumbing. Email from the hotel offered free glass of house wine with the evening meal. This offer did not make it to the check-out and we then had to provide evidence to the manager to receive the offer. No bill given in the restaurant but tipped the waitress on the night, only later to discover service charge had also been added to the final bill.

Old world charm with modern amenities.
Pros:

In a great location and the hotel had an “old world@ charm to it.

Cons:

Hard to fault, the hotel has been taken over recently and the new owner has improvements going on. We will happily come back next year to see the improvements. Only down side is, my wife has some food allergies that the kitchen staff couldn’t cater for as I did not give them enough time to cater for her.
