Room is really comfortable. Love the breakfast.
Found a little cobweb behind curtains, not a big deal.
Beautiful building, with its own onsen. Rooms were nice, and spacious for a Japanese-style room. The art deco/1920s aesthetic was very nice.
The rate included breakfast, but somehow only for two adults - I've never heard of a child breakfast being charged for as it was here. Very cheeky especially as it was essentially just for cereal and a glass of milk.
Also the Japanese style rooms had the traditional paper window coverings without an additional blind/curtain (which other ryokan style accommodation we stayed in had) which meant that, in summer at least, the room was filled with light at dawn.

We had one of the best night sleeps in this hotel, we suspect though that is all thanks to the Tatami experience. The hotel was in a great location and breakfast was delicious.
A big downside was there was a sewer stench coming from the bathroom. Since we stayed in the annex, this room as probably not been used in a while.
