Quirky room, pleasant staff and good restaurant
Pros:

The breakfasts were perfectly adequate and the staff were friendly.
Our room had a balcony overlooking the courtyard with views of the Matterhorn. It had eclectic panelling and was very comfortable. The whirlpool bath added to the atmosphere.
We had one meal in the hotel restaurant and the fondue was very good.

fantastic ski holiday home base
Pros:

stayed at the alex hotel for a week on a recent ski vacation and loved everything about it. great location, comfortable room, wonderful interior with plenty of of room to socialize. chef is outstanding with amazing food everynite. staff is super nice. can't say enough other than this is the place to stay. highly recommend!!!!

Best place for active people in Zermatt
Pros:

Very welcoming staff & owners, that are constantly present and take care of their guests. Extraordinary hotel gym, huge pool, excellent and comfy restaurant and best location, within 2min from the train station. Very clean everywhere and the deluxe suite was extraordinary spacious. Definitely great value for money, we'll come again!

Look no further - best in Zermatt
Pros:

One of the best hotels I’ve stayed at in 40 years of travel to Europe.
The rooms are beautifully decorated, the staff is friendly and efficient and the restaurant is excellent (decor, food and service).
It is centrally located one block from the Main Street and 5 minutes from the train station.
