Set in beautiful gardens .. congratulations to the gardeners who do bril job, walk through private gate and beach right there. The young waitresses were all terrific Partic Eloise .. they were very busy indeed yet coped v well
Could be more vegetarian options on menu and perhaps a special of the day
The staff were very friendly throughout my stay, and told me about the facilities on offer when I checked in. There is a nice small private garden with a sea view for walks. The lower gate leads directly to the seafront. Large choice for breakfast, and traditional pub-dinner choices.
The bedroom can be noisy at night if there are loud events taking place outside / traffic from the road.
Very Grand with beautiful gardens and a lovely pool. Clever access to the town via the gardens instead of the road. Train and bus transport to adjoining towns. Restaurant staff so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Special shoutout to Jo who made our stay very special.
Nothing
The garden, the food all round great staff
Nothing
Staff very helpful.
Not a lot of choice for evening meal. Bathroom skirting board needed a good clean.
Nice looking hotel from outside beautiful gardens and a lovely swimming pool
Poor room, didn’t look anything like what is advertised low cleanliness low maintenance view from window was a concrete wall three feet away. No information in the room to say what the hotel offers or what is is the area to visit
Beautiful gardens with parking
Dog friendly
Clean room
Lovely breakfast area with views
The gardens are gorgeous and the garden terrace a lovely place to just sit and be. Really easy walk through the gardens and across a road to get to the sea front. Breakfast was DELICIOUS and the staff were super helpful.
Some of the decor/carpets in the communal areas was a bit dated (although that didn't really matter to me) It would also feel higher quality if the staff had smarter uniforms (but again that didn't matter to me, I was more interested in the fact they gave good service! It's just in comparison to other hotels)
The views, it was also really clean and comfortable, really friendly
Nothing
All of it Location the poole, the love of dogs the garden walks.
Nothing very happy with everthing
Loved the gardens. The room was adequate. Breakfast was excellent
One of the reasons we chose this hotel was for the pool, unfortunately it wasn’t in use.
Altes Hotel mit viel Charme. Sehr nettes hilfsbereites Personal.
Keine grosse Auswahl an Gerichten.
Der Indoorpool ist nur 77 bis 110 cm tief und die Lufttemperatur im Poolbereich viel zu hoch um auf den Liegen oder Stühlen zu relaxen.
Location of property was ideal. The hotel isn’t anything to write home about. Basic.
It’s basic for the price, the breakfast was awful. Cooked breakfast was tasteless and just greasy, no beans, no mushrooms, scrambled eggs weren’t replenished. I asked for two poached eggs, awful. Hard cooked and tasted of vinegar. Also cctv didn’t work by the pool so wasn’t able to swim. Most would book this hotel for the pool, so that was disappointing.
Wonderfully dog friendly. Gorgeous grounds, just across the road from the beach.
Very clean, lovely room and grounds, great position for a short walk to the seafront.
Our room was comfortable, there was plenty of choice for breakfast, the gardens were lovely and the hotel was convenient for walking to Teignmouth
Location, gardens nice hotel and friendly staff
Pressure in shower very poor
