The Independent Hotel

We didn't stay at this hotel but just popped in for a drink at the rooftop bar. The views are great and the bar is nicely decorated with a chilled atmosphere. There's a good range of drinks. The prices are a little higher than expected but that's due to the rooftop location. Good attentive service.

This hotel is just steps away from Termini. It is beautiful, clean, and the staff is very friendly. The rooftop has breakfast in the morning and drinks in the evening. We left wishing we could this hotel with us for every stay in our trip!

Location and roof top bar

Stayed for 3 nights before cruise. We were upgraded to the top floor below the rooftop restaurant and there’s only one suite in the entire floor (the other 2 units are long term rentals). It’s a spacious 3 room suite. It was overall comfortable but rather dated . The biggest disappointment is on our second day the one and only elevator was under maintenance and we had to walk down the stairs when my wife has problem with her knee. The next day the elevator was still under maintenance and we had to hire a porter to carry our heavy bags down the long stairs which almost crushed the fellow. Again my wife suffered pain having to walk down the stairs. This hotel having only one elevator is its Archille’s heel as I understand it breaks down frequently. The hotel also has no lobby, not much of a resting and reception space to speak of. It is too much money for what it offers.

This is the most amazing hotel. Great location, fabulously clean rooms, super friendly staff on reception and Michelley at breakfast was just wonderful.
The hotel has a fantastic roof top bar with amazing views across Rome. Cocktails execellent.
Breakfast is also served at roof top bar and has a great selection of food and lovely coffee.
The complimentary mini bar was a really great touch for our particular booking.
We loved every minute of our stay and will absolutely be back. Thank you to all the staff, everyone so kind and helpful.

Close to everything - clean and quaint - elevator very small so took the stairs

Centrum Rzymu, blisko dworca Termini, sieci komunikacyjnej i mercato centrale, w którym można zjeść dania obiadowe, typowo włoskie, ale też kuchnie innych krajów. W tym samym miejscu jest supermarket Tiger, można sobie urządzić włosķą kolację.
Sam hotel nie porywa, na pewno nie są to 4 gwiazdki, fajne lobby-jadalnia na 8 pietrze, ładne widoki, przemiła pani z obsługi, wzięła nas za Norwegów

The hotel was clean and very close to the train station. The air conditioner worked extremely well. Beware that the elevator is incredibly tiny. You aren't fitting a lot of luggage and people in there at one time. The only issue we had was that upon check in we asked if they had a water fountain and the gentleman at the front desk told us the mini bar was free and we could take the water out of there. When we went to check out, they tried to charge us for the water we used from the mini bar. I don't know why they told us it was free, but do not drink anything from there unless you want to pay for it.

Very comfortable room. The staff were also really great and accommodating us early after a long flight with an early check-in.

Hotel was very close to the train station.

Perfect location for us as we were taking the train to the FCO airport in the morning. Wish we were able to enjoy the rooftop restaurant in the morning, but had to leave too early to do so.

Room was spotless and the bed very comfortable except for the pillows being a little to hard for our comfort. There may have been other pillows available, but we did not check.

Porter was a bit overzealous which I'm sure will annoy some, especially other Americans. Take my advice and always have a few Euro coins in your pocket for such eventualities and just let go with it.

We arrived at the hotel for our 4 night stay just after lunchtime staff were very helpful while we got booked in as our rooms were ready for us.
Our rooms were on the 4th and 5th floors, rooms were a good size and had everything we needed, the housekeeping staff kept the rooms spotless everyday, so a big thank you to them.
We had breakfast in the rooftop dining bar area every morning the views were out of this world, great choice to pick from and a good start to the day,the staff were super friendly and very helpful, at nigh-time we had drinks and the atmosphere was so relaxed and again the views were great. Thank you too all the staff.
The hotel was in a fantastic location very close to main train station and also buses and metro. We managed to walk to colosseum, Trevi fountain and Spanish steps.
We would definitely recommend this hotel we all had a great time and many happy memories.

Staff were brilliant, room was gorgeous and large, location was walkable to so many things and close to train, and great breakfast too
