Small boutique hotel.Room was well appointed ,comfortable and clean- apart from the rug on the floor which was grubby and needed a good clean. During our 4 day stay the lift (there is only one )was out of action at least twice awaiting repairs -not ideal to have to walk up 5 flights of stairs to get to your room or get to the top 8th floor for breakfast.Breakfast was ok -mostly continental with a few cooked options such as scrambled egg and bacon.Omelettes and poached eggs were available to order at additional cost which was disappointing as the hotel wasn’t cheap -these items should be included.Reception staff weren’t particularly friendly and seemed pretty disorganised. I believe there was a dog staying at the hotel whilst we were there -which didn’t bother us at the time however it is not clear from their website that dogs are allowed.Should be made clearer as I would not chose to stay at a hotel where pets are allowed for my own personal reasons.

The room is modern, clean and much quiet than other one in the city.

The front desk receptionist Ivan and Simone was exceptional. They accommodated my wife and I to the fullest and upright respect. And the breakfast crew was amazing also. Thank you to you all..

Lovely hotel in a great location to the main train station with fantastic breakfast served by the lovely Michelle.
Only downside would be booking a room with a balcony as they just look onto other buildings, with ducting from kitchens so could not really sit outside.

The Independent is a lovely, convenient hotel for anyone visiting Rome. The charming staff, the spacious, modern rooms, and the rooftop restaurant all help make the experience wonderful.

Me and my mrs stayed here from 2nd to the 5th of May 2026. The hotel is spotless, very modern and the balcony with its amazing views and food is the highlight. Thr location is also ideal for us as we used the Termini to go to the coast.

Mini bar and the complementary two waters per day is nice. The staff are good. We felt the room was smaller than what was shown and wish it had a few more sqm for its price. Still its been overall and great 4 star hotel.

5 loved this hotel it was clean, safe and spacious rooms and the rooms and hotel smelt nice, location was perfect metro was across the road but we walked everywhere. Breakfast area was small but perfect and we loved the food. The staff are so friendly and nice and can’t do enough for you only downfall is the lift is tiny and can sometimes take a while but overall I would highly recommend. Location is perfect

Very nice hotel. Convenient to public transportation. Variety of dining options nearby. Very clean! The rooftop bar is fun with great views of the sunset and the city.
