Location was great, easy walk to numerous pubs and restaurants, hotel meeting areas were very nice, staff was excellent
Rooms were extremely hot, faucet and water didn’t work well, no iron/ironing board in room as indicated on website, stairs to rooms on first floor made luggage difficult to get to room without assistance.

This historic and welcoming hotel in a perfect location. Close to everything. We walked everywhere and did not need a car in town. We walked to the bay.
The beds are so comfy with great pillows and cozy bedding.The rooms are well appointed and elegant. The rooms are quite clean and comfortable.
You get complimentary tea and coffee when you arrive. Lots of different places to hang out in the hotel. The Poets Bar. The lobby by by the fire place and lots of other nooks and crannies to sit in. The hotel is quiet and peaceful at night time. The staff are wonderful and helpful. We requested a fan and they put one in our room before we got here. All of our needs were met. This is in our top 5 hotels we have ever visted. The restaurant is beautiful. They make make great drinks.
We were here Easter week and the 2 restaurants were quite busy at times from folks coming to eat. Maybe it always busy at meal times.. So it would get crowded during meal times and people would block the stairs to the rooms and over take the hotel some. I did not enjoy this part. It is not a very big hotel and only has 28 rooms.

Dies war unser erster Aufenthalt in einem SLH-Hotel, dementsprechend waren die Erwartungen - und der Preis - recht hoch. Das Zimmer war dann recht nett, mit ein paar modernen Annehmlichkeiten wie Tablet und Bluetooth-Speakern, aber trotzdem war es nichts besonderes. Negativ ist uns das Bad aufgefallen, das schon etliche Jahre auf dem Buckel haben muss und einige Schrammen, Ablagerungen, Ungepflegtheiten etc aufwies und für uns einen gewissen Sanatorium-Vibe ausstrahlte. Ja, es ist ein historisches Gebäude, aber bei einem SLH-Hotel hätten wir einfach mehr erwartet.
