Unfortunately, other patrons were bashing on doors at 1.30am woke my wife up violently, nothing against the hotel but clientele was disrespectful.

Only negative is the single course breakfast. The old style buffet breakfast disappeared with Covid - possibly it will ultimately prove a deal-breaker.

Unfortunately they’ve changed the breakfast menu! 😧NO big breakfast anymore which is one reason we always booked the breakfast! You have to add on extras now to the 2 eggs on sourdough which makes it so much more expensive and also they do not serve baked beans or chorizo anymore either which we enjoyed.
The hotel definitely needs a revamp it’s looking very tired and the pool area has a lot of rust showing and the walls are falling apart 😳
Need to invest in some more activities like maybe some chess, football table and they definitely need to invest in a new pool table and cues!

I’d give it an 8 out of 10 just need to get better TVs in the room rooms

Cons:

No smart TV in 2026 all the TVs need to be replaced with smart TVs and all the old split systems that are dirty and old that don’t work need to be replaced with new heaters and air-conditioners other than that it’s all the shower when you open the screen hits the tap which is a bit average. The shower alcove need to be upgraded. The floors seem to flood easily love the spas.

To me it’s seems the Lake hotel doesn’t really cater for people staying at the hotel for breakfast seems a bit of a miss match

Spa in room was fantastic.

Cons:

The smell in the carpet in room and in hallways was either from very old smoke or it was a mouldy type smell…..you may need to replace carpets.
