Good location, spacious room, comfortable bed

Cons:

Rooms a little outdated and bathroom was dark and a little rundown. There’s no reception desk. You check in at the bar. Not one employee was friendly at check-in, check-out, or as we came and went. It was so strange! It felt like a budget hotel with the lack of staffing and care. No one seemed to care who came and went and while that may be a personality thing (shared by all staff), it’s also a safety concern. There is no doorman, and there were several times we walked in or out without ever even seeing a person. You need a key to access the elevator, but that is easily worked around.

Coffee pods and tea were never replenished once we used them the first day, so we had to go buy our own.

Perfect location, decent hotel, most people will be happy if they stay here.
Pros:

The location of this hotel is simply perfect for exploring Chicago. Just off the Magnificent Mile, right in the heart of downtown but just far enough up a quite street to be peaceful.

Cons:

We booked a suite which was spacious, clean and comfortable. It had the facilities you expect, it was just a little tired and looked out on a boarded up building. The view would have been better if we have been on a higher floor, we were on the 7th.

Pros:

The rooms were beautiful and spacious. Very modern and the bathroom was top tier.

Cons:

They don't have any amenities like a gym, onsite parking or breakfast/restaurants but all those things are very close to the hotel.

Stay was good, location was wonderful.
Pros:

I liked the decor. The room was stately designed and I absolutely loved the bathroom. The Keurig machine overflowed which has never happened to me before, but I was able to ask for it to get cleaned up and it was cleaned up really well. Staff was very friendly. Front bar was staffed every time I was downstairs.

Cons:

There is no 'front desk' check-in space. Check in is at the bar. No water dispenser for reusable water bottles. They are still using mini plastics instead of eco friendly options. Their provided amenities are subpar. Doors are thin and you can hear everything from the hallway, including the elevator and all people in the hallway.

If you can get past an unfriendly check-in, you have one of the best values for a hotel in this area
Pros:

Great location, beautifully designed bathroom with an incredible shower, room was nicely put together and had working temperature control. I also liked that the room wasn't carpeted like most other hotels are so it felt a lot cleaner. Overall a really great value for the price.

Cons:

Unfriendly check-in, staff member (who was not wearing a name tag) didn't really greet me or make me feel welcome. He was short with his words and sassy with me, despite being perfectly nice to other guests around me. It felt oddly targeted and possibly racially motivated. I also had requested a quiet room in the booking and got put directly in front of the elevator, though I realize that the room type I requested was probably the only unit of its kind on the floor.

"We had fun and busy weekend exploring the city"
Pros:

The staff was great warm and friendly! Location was walking distance to and from where we needed to be... My eleven-year-old granddaughter was excited about the bathtub which she happened to like.

Cons:

What I didn't like was the first-floor view of alley and vacant building. I watch homeless people congregating eating and throw waste on ground. The room itself was exceptionally clean and comfortable. I would definitely stay again, but it will not be on first floor!
