Disappointing Stay – Definitely Not a 4-Star Experience
Pros:

On the positive side, the receptionist and other staff members were extremely friendly, welcoming, and helpful. I really appreciated their kindness and professionalism.

Cons:

Unfortunately, my stay at Garni Hotel Leopold I in Novi Sad was very disappointing.

The room had a very strong and unpleasant smell, which made it extremely difficult for me to sleep comfortably. This seriously affected the quality of my stay.

Another issue was the bed. Instead of a proper double bed, two single beds had been pushed together, with towels placed in the gap between the mattresses. This was a very uncomfortable arrangement and certainly not what I expected from a four-star hotel. It made sleeping even more unpleasant.

The breakfast was another major disappointment. For a hotel advertised as four stars, I expected much better quality, variety, and presentation. In fact, it was one of the worst hotel breakfasts I have ever experienced.

Overall, while the staff were genuinely friendly and helpful, the room conditions, uncomfortable bed, and extremely disappointing breakfast made this stay far below four-star standards.

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this hotel based on my experience. The hotel seriously needs to improve its room comfort and breakfast quality to meet the expectations of a four-star establishment.

Festungs-festliche Tage
Pros:

Die Lage in der Festung und die Möglichkeit das Auto direkt beim Hotel zu parken ist wirklich etwas besonderes. Über die Stiegen zum Donauufer und die nahe Brücke ist das Zentrum zu Fuß gut zu erreichen. Ein guter Kaffee & umfangreiches Frühstücksbuffet am Morgen - wirklich gut!

Cons:

Das „Doppelbett“ waren 2 aneinandergestellte Einzelbetten. Optisch nahe aber vom schlafkomfort nicht ganz wie im Doppelbett. Da lohnen sich die etwas teureren Zimmer im 1.Stock sicherlich.

Die Mitarbeiter

Cons:

Das Frühstück war nicht gut.
Die Lage des Hotels ist bezüglich des Ausblicks gut, aber fußläufig circa 30 Minuten vom Stadtzentrum entfernt. Der Weg ist zudem in Teilbereichen (Abstieg vom Hotel auf die Ebene des Flusses und umgekehrt) ziemlich beschwerlich und schlecht zu gehen. Personen mit Mobilitätseinschränkung und älteren Menschen würde ich davon abraten. Als Frau würde ich den Weg bei Dunkelheit ebenfalls nicht nehmen.
Lichtblick: Der Mitarbeiter aus Nepal, der das Frühstück serviert und begleitet. Er geht auf die Gäste zu - immer mit einem Lächeln im Gesicht, fragt nach, ob man noch Wünsche hat. Und das alles ohne aufdringlich zu sein. Einfach perfekt!
