Fantastic location and staff. But the hotel is tired and would benefit from a refurb
Pros:

The staff were brilliant . The breakfast was lovely.

Cons:

The stairwell had stale smell and could do with decorating and new carpet . The sink in the bathroom was small and hard to use because of its location under a shelf .

Ok but won't stay again.
Pros:

Beds were very comfortable, breakfast was amazing & staff were fabulous.

Cons:

The shower was very weak. The plumbing was old so needed vacuum suction to dispel water & waste resulting in a loud noise each time we flushed or rsn water (sometimes it made a noise during the night)
It was quite dated and in desperate need of refurbishment.

Pros:

The staff were lovely. The room fit the 5 of us as booked.
Staff were very kind and accommodating and made changes to the breakfast on request.

Cons:

The building is very old and seems like it’s been neglected.
The paint was peeling in most areas. Windows were off set so couldn’t be closed fully. As was one of the doors.
Bathroom was very dirty, mould marks all around the bath tub and again paint peeling. General smell of waste in there from the moment we arrived.
Carpets were very dirty also.

Pros:

Only good thing was breakfast and pleasant enough staff.

Cons:

The room was untidy, floor was so dirty my kids socks looked like they had being playing in mud, the bathroom stank, and shower leaked.

If you’re not bothered about the hotel being a bit tired & dated, I would highly recommend! We thought it was great
Pros:

Great location within easy reach of the town centre. Lovely big room for 3 of us & well equipped. One of the best tea/coffee trays I’ve ever seen which was very much appreciated! Staff were lovely, welcoming, polite & helpful. Fabulous cooked breakfast!

Cons:

The hotel itself is dated but we had everything we needed for a lovely comfortable stay. No criticisms at all.

Done book this hotel
Pros:

It was dirty and the carpets were stained the bannister was full of grime outside was unkept did not wait for breakfast left as soon as we woke up such a shame as its a beautiful hotel just left to go to pieces

Cons:

Everything when we arrived home late at night there was 3men sat smoking in the steps it scared us
