Staff were extremely friendly and really well trained. Food was overall very good - a little more choice for some simpler/healthier dinner options would have been appreciated. I think we were unusual in needing to stay for a week as part of a house move rather than just overnight, so for us the limited menu meant we only dined in the hotel restaurant twice.
For the cost of the accommodation I expected the bedrooms to be airconditioned. The small fan provided didn't suffice in the heatwave. Thankfully the peaceful grounds meant it was OK to keep the window open and we were on the 2nd floor so felt secure. I don't think that would have been the case if we had been on the ground floor.
Spa was lovely
Breakfast was good nice to be able to ware Spa robes
No fridge in room
No air conditioning in room
Only one lift allows 2 people at one time,
Long walk to car park on unmade road
everything exceeded my expectations food was 1st class facility absolute perfection.
this is my new home away from home
no dislikes at all
Comfortable room and the breakfast .
Paying extra to stay in the spa and yet not able to arrive before 3 .
Clearing up started too early on Saturday as the staff started celebrating an occasion
Beautiful setting
The setting, within its very well tended gardens as well as the walks around the property and gardens.
Helpful friendly staff.
Pleasant comfortable rooms
Hotel was lovely felt very relaxed enjoyed the spa pool nice and clean room was lovely and clean and comfortable enjoyed 2 night stay at the life house hotel spa hopefully we will visit again
I can say i did not find any dislikes
The grounds are nice and the bed was comfortable.
It’s quite run down, gives the impression it’s owned by somebody quite greedy who’s not investing in its longevity or return customers. It’s not being well maintained, tiles missing in the pool, mismatch misaligned hooks on the wall, sauna wood is all rotting, tiles all around the spa are stained and unkept, room furnishings are very stained and unwashed, it’s extremely stuffy on hot days with only a desktop fan for relief, very few treatments available, all must be booked well in advance, seems very short staffed and staff seem over worked, very tired and unmotivated. It has quite a sad atmosphere.
Breakfast was good
The toilet in the room. Was difficult to flush
Nothing
Very relaxing, spa was lovely
Room very hot
Breakfast. Fresh and great choice. High quality produce
Nothing everything was great
The room was lovely, and the staff were very welcoming and polite. Nothing was too much trouble if you requested assistance.
The gardens, woodland & ponds were beautiful, it was so relaxing walking around the area.
Dinner & afternoon tea immaculate.
Good choice of drinks from the bar and nice snacks available.
Spa treatment was a dream, and using the pool, sauna, and salt inhalation steam room was great, we relaxed on loungers afterwards in complete calm.
The dining room floor was a joke, it was very worn and almost everyone's shoes stuck to it, making it aggravating to listen to.
Breakfast could have been better organised, many items had finished and not topped up.
You can't help yourself with hot food causing a queue.
