Accomodation was super, private onsen was perfect and location to the ropeway was super handy
Not really that I didn’t like it more it would be nice to have a few other options nearby for dinner but the location really helped to negate that

Lovely staff and outdoor onsen. You can see views of mt Fuji from the garden. It’s a fantastic location with access to the property by bus as well as the ropeway just 300-400m from the hotel. The Hakone free pass can’t be used for the bus
A little rundown
Loved our room with a private onsen, with the view to Mt Fuji. The public onsen was beautiful, amenities great. The best part was the included dinner with eat-all-you-can sushi and other Japanese dishes. The staff was very nice.

The Onsen was very nice
Our whole family loved the all you can eat dinner, with lots of fun and yummy food to try, like Sukiyaki (cooked on flame at table), sushi made for you, and fresh Monte Blanc made on request.
The breakfast was good but not as many things that appealed to us.
The provided Yakuta to use was lovely and made for nice photos
Too foggy for Fuji views
We had an outdoor bath room and we didn’t use the onsen so can’t comment on that. There is a view of Mt Fuji on a clear day, and we could see it from the back of our room. The room itself was like a largish hotel room, starting to show its age a little bit but we didn’t mind. The staff were very good, because we stayed more than 3 nights we got a free drink at dinner for each night after. They had a couple of ladies playing violin/piano one evening for entertainment. The staff were appreciative whenever I spoke the little Japanese I know to them. The gardens were lovely, although in October there is not much flowering at this time.
Not much. The location is a little tricky to get too if you are driving but Google Maps was fine. The trip via cable car to Owakudani was stupidly expensive for such a short ride, we should have simply driven and parked at the top.
Buffet breakfast and dinner were excellent! Incredible choice and quality. Onsen wonderful too. Excellent Mount Fuji view from the hotel. Very relaxing.

Central and easy to get to. We had a traditional futon room and was a great experience. It was quiet and roomy.
