Loved the lounge area in the reception . The happy hour was great and the resident cat, Casey we loved
Our TV remotes did not work for both TVs. And the chair for lounging in the main bedroom was stained on the seat. Room 24.
The location and people working the desk were nice.
There was mice in the property that got into our belongings.

The bed was comfortable and the bathroom clean.
It is not a boutique hotel. It is a very high priced hostel. The room was very small, had to keep the curtains drawn as it was at street level. The staff (one in particular) did the absolute minimum to assist. No in room service( daily cleaning), which for the price ( of about C$440 per night) is unacceptable.

Our experience staying at this hotel was disappointing.
At the time of booking, the room looked completely different from the photos. At reception, we were told that the hotel has many rooms within the same category and that they all differ from one another, while the photos are general. However, when choosing accommodation, the appearance of the room is very important to me — including the interior, bed, wall colors, and overall atmosphere.
Upon arrival, we spent about 15 minutes ringing the doorbell, but no one opened the door. We were only able to enter because another guest happened to come in. At the same time, a staff member was present at reception but did not consider opening the door for arriving guests.
Room №15 was very old and unclean. In the bathroom, the water supply was inconsistent, likely due to low pressure. In addition, we found bugs in the bed, which is completely unacceptable.
The only major advantage of this hotel is its location. It is truly excellent and very convenient for walking and exploring the city.
Unfortunately, due to the issues mentioned above, I cannot recommend this hotel.

The curtains were not black out.
The lack of cleanliness in the bathroom, there was floss on the floor. The shower/bathtub was so difficult to use. It’s hard to get in and out of. You stand on jets that are uncomfortable and there’s not much space. The only outlet is above the mirror which is almost impossible to reach.
Loved the old building, location, room, comfortable bed, staff & hotel cat.
