The location.
It was dated and warn. I would not consider this hotel or stay 5 stars. We paid for a prestige double room, which was large for Europe, but the room was placed in the back of the hotel off a separate stair case. The view was non-existent. I did ask to move rooms, but the hotel could not accommodate the change for the first night. The restaurant was sleepy and the service was extremely slow.
The hotel was apparently renovated/enhanced in 2023, but it didnt’ show. Every chair and sofa cushion in our room and in the common areas was stained or showed significant wear. There was a false ceiling in one of the two bathrooms in our room and it had a hole where you could see above.
The morning room service was the only positive.
Exceptional experience from arrival to departure that a larger 5 star hotel just could not compete with

This time, I went back Paris after 11 years. At that time, I was with my parents and sister, but three of them passed away,

Although I traveled alone, I was able to relax at San Regis as if I were at home.
I revisited a restaurant I visited with my family before, and it was very convenient because I could walk everywhere.
Although it was extremely hot every day during my stay, the room was very comfortable.
The reception team always spoke kindly, which made me feel at ease.
Jerome was surprised that he knew my departure date and time without me having to explain much. I was glad that they were paying attention.
Thank you very much. Also, if I visit Paris again, I'll stay at my home in San Regis!
The stuff of the hotel were very kind and helpful
The one night I’ve stayed it was a total of rip off, it was a normal Saturday, difference between Saturday and Sunday check in was 1200 euros, I was so mad and angry, for me it was an abuse, never again, was first and last time.

The room was exceptional it was luxurious and at the same time warm and inviting with attention to detail second to none. The fresh fruit bowl was a welcome delight. The location was perfect for a day and evening in Paris walking distance to major attractions surrounded by leafy streets and fabulous eateries. Attending the Matisse at the Grand Palais conveniently located just a short walk was a highlight .
However it was the client service from arrival at reception to departure that sets this boutique hotel apart from others, the early morning coffee on my day of departure prepared and delivered by the concierge was possibly the best coffee I had tasted after a month in Europe.
Dining in the restaurant was like everything at this hotel a complete experience in 5 star quality.
Every staff person delivered the same high standard of service. As a woman travelling on their own who books many hotels for travel San Regis is the dream online booking. The hotel exceeds expectation with quiet luxury and exceptional service delivery

The staff is so friendly, they really do their best to make one’s stay perfect. The rooms are impeccably clean, and beautifully and tastefully decorated. It’s always a pleasure to come here.
The San Regis family made our trip to Paris so memorable. They did everything possible to make our stay feel like home. The property is beautiful! We highly recommend and plan to stay again when we return to Paris!!
