Moderately dull
Pros:

The room was nice and the beach is beautiful, More or less good choice of cheese at the breakfast (the only good thing about breakfast).

Cons:

I'm not saying this hotel was bad but it just did not meet our expectations. Comparing with other hotels of the same class we used to stay at - this one is rather boring and lacking character. We stayed for 4 nights. Breakfasts were literally identical every morning. Large pastries as if from any cheap bakery. Hot dishes are at the Premier Inn level. Minimum vegetables. Wasps everywhere. Not a single refill of coffee/tea packs in the room. Only little complimentary bottles of water except for the 1st day. An employee once tried to unlock our room without knocking while we were inside. The staff is just polite, nothing beyond that. To reach the beach you cross a stinky lagoon. The pool, the gym and the kids club are mediocre. Needless to say, no evening entertainment (or at least we got no information) but it's indeed rare in European hotels. Architecture and landscape are mediocre as well. Final touch: at departure they give you a box of chocolates. The size of it makes you think there are a few in the stack. In practice you discover there are just four at the surface, it's simply the thick box. This exactly reflects the 'greediness' of the hotel. Overall, you may find something better for this money.

Fantastic resort
Pros:

Relaxed and quiet luxury. A good size (not too big) resort. Staff were wonderful. Upgraded room which was amazing. Shuttle bus regularly down to the beach. Staff service fantastic. Beach beds great. Spa fantastic. Great shop. Great local recommendations. Ample parking. Breakfast great. Food great.

Cons:

Drinks very expensive. Can be annoying waiting for shuttle bus as common times people want to go down and then waiting in the sun.

Great location, excellent staff, rooms, facilities are truly great for families.
Pros:

excellent staff. Excellent concierge service. great location when travelling with family as you are near San Theodoro as well as the great beaches. Great breakfast, Great rooms.

Cons:

There was a storm that removed the access to the beach but the hotel provided transportation to access the area.

Pros:

The breakfast and pool bar/grill was very good. The AC worked very well in the room which was critical due to the heat wave. The pool area was very nice although entrance to pool required use of pool ladders as there were not access steps.

Cons:

I booked this property primarily due to its walkable location to the beach. However, upon arrival, we noticed and were informed that the wooden pathway going from property to the beach was taken down and not replaced due to storm damage. This required taking the hotel shuttle van to the beach with a drop off point at one end of the beach, instead of the nicer center part of the beach that the former boardwalk arrived at. It is a very large beach. The hotel must update its website because it highlights that the wooden boardwalk is there which is not true and is deceptive.

Room decor and furniture were at best on the level of a good 3 star hotel… maybe an average 4 star but by no means deserves to have 5 stars and be part of the Leading Hotels brand. It’s simply deceptive. It was clear that the hotel management isn’t bothered in upgrading the rooms and investing in the new furniture. Additionally staff are absolutely not on the level of 5 star hotel - they were often irritated, forgetting parts of the order, getting in the way during breakfast etc. The staff unfortunately are more like local seasonal part time workers rather than professionally trained 5 star hotel staff. For sure not a good value for money. The only good thing about this hotel is its location and access to a truly stunning (public) beach

Le camere sono molto vecchie e poco accoglienti, con arredi modesti - non in linea con il prezzo richiesto per il pernottamento.
