Royal Son Bou Family Club

I would highly recommend Royal Son Bou to anyone looking to give their children a fantastic holiday.

The facilities are excellent, as is the food and drink. The all-inclusive offering is genuinely very good quality, with surprisingly little excluded. We particularly enjoyed having a Pomada each day.

The animación team are brilliant. There’s a show every evening at 8pm, followed by another at 9pm which is a little more adult-focused but still completely family friendly. Kikoland is excellent too, with activities, toys, soft play and plenty to keep younger children entertained. The heated splash pool is great, and the pirate ship slide was a particular favourite.

Our room was cleaned every day, with the beds made and fresh towels provided. The staff throughout the hotel were genuinely warm and friendly, regularly interacting with our toddler and helping to make the whole experience feel quite magical for him.

Personally, I’m not a fan of huge, characterless resort hotels, so Royal Son Bou really suited us. It feels much more like a traditional Spanish apartment complex, with low-rise buildings that are only a few storeys high, which gives the whole place a much more relaxed feel.

La qualità dello staff e dei camerieri Un ringraziamento speciale va ai ragazzi del team, che ho ammirato tantissimo. Sono professionisti capaci di svolgere più ruoli: oltre a esibirsi sul palco, sono bravissimi nelle animazioni e sanno fare più cose. Accanto a loro, ci tengo a ringraziare di cuore i camerieri ai tavoli: molto attenti, educati e incredibilmente bravi a capire con discrezione il momento giusto in cui avvicinarsi o non venire a chiedere.

La struttura, la posizione.

Molto comoda la posizione, cibo ottimo e abbondante, bellissimo intrattenimento per i bambini (almeno fino alle 20, leggi sotto).
Molto utile anche l'idea dell'area giochi di fronte al ristorante per i bimbi più piccoli

Posizione fantastica, a pochi metri dalla bellissima spiaggia di Son Bou. Ottimi i servizi: colazioni, cene, il miniclub per i bambini, la bellissima piscina. Camere spaziose, comodissime e molto silenziose.

We absolutely loved our experience at the hotel. Everyone is amazingly friendly. The whole place is immaculately clean. We couldn’t be happier to spend a few days with our young children there. A special thank you to our great waiter Pepe and the manager at the reception who kindly gave us an upgrade which made our stay even more comfortable and memorable.

This place is absolutely heaven for families - every little thing from reception having a child bench to the ice cream counter to the activities to even having a children’s sink in the room separate to the adult sink - we cannot of think of a better resort to come each year to enjoy the pool and sea - the Kikoland staff are amazing and work tireless and they are the jewel in the crown of this resort - our daughter has built amazing bond with a few of them over the past 2 years . We met families who have been coming here for past 10 years and we really understand why and we will probably do the same

We are just back from a fabulous five night stay at the Royal Son Bou. We took our seven year old granddaughter who had the most amazing time. This was our second visit and I have no hesitation in recommending the Son Bou to anyone travelling with children.

Our accommodation was spotlessly clean and housekeeping is carried out daily to a very high standard.

We were all inclusive and the food was excellent. There is a choice of two restaurants. They can both be very busy but at no time did I ever see anyone queuing for a table. There are so many dishes to choose from with lots of healthy options available if you’re on a restricted diet. There are also two supermarkets opposite the hotel for anyone on half board. One in particular is very well stocked and the prices seem very reasonable.

The pools are fabulous, our granddaughter loved them! Lots of pool activities at various times if you’re partial to pool aerobics or volley ball. The second pool is quieter, more shallow and suited to young children ….. though our seven year old loved the galleon and the slides!

The kids club has had a refurb since last year. There are lots of supervised activities for children but now there is also a fantastic splash park. Our granddaughter was there every day, she loved it! Who knew getting drenched could be such fun!

It’s a short walk to the beach. The sand has rocks and the waves can be fierce but again, our granddaughter loved it. There’s a tunnel access directly from the hotel so no roads to cross.

All in all, this was a fabulous stay. The one slight negative was a large hotel over the road which plays incredibly loud music until 10.30pm each evening. If your accommodation has a sea view, you will notice it the most. It’s probably not ideal if you have a baby, but otherwise, not a deal breaker. I’ve no doubt there are options in quieter areas if you contact the hotel directly.

And last but not least, I’d like to give a big shout out to all the staff at this hotel. Not once did we encounter anyone who didn’t acknowledge us. Most spoke excellent English and were incredibly polite, helpful and efficient. Without a doubt, they are the jewel in Son Bou’s Crown!
