Food was excellent, location beautiful, room comfortable.
History of the building very interesting, the outbuildings etc all very interesting to freely wander about.
Would have loved to buy some pottery from the shop but found it rather expensive although beautiful.
Cheese making was interesting, the gardens an absolute delight.
The inside rooms of the Parador are magnificent with beautiful floors, ceilings and furnishings.
Would definitely return.
Could have done with more power points in the bedroom.
Fortunatly we had our own tea/coffee making supplies as none were supplied by the Parador.

Jardins
Beautiful stately house, beautiful grounds, great that they have really interesting exhibitions about the fabulous history of the place that you can roam at your ease. They also produce their own excellent wines, olive oil, cheese and jams, plus a winning partnership with Vista Alegre ceramics including Bordallo collections. The whole atmosphere is charming and serene.
This property is really special with its history, architecture and location, and my experience was overall very good indeed. However, I'm making only a few points here because at this high level there are some small details that could be easily improved: complimentary coffee and tea in the room is a basic standard for similar properties in most places in Portugal and elsewhere; there should be bar service for the lovely patio (terraço) as a matter of fact, not dependent on the bar tender's niceness; at least in our room the bottom of the bath tub was quite slippery, needs an anti-slip.surface.
