Good location. Large car park. EV charging available. Spacious room.

Cons:

However, for a room costing over €400 per night, I was surprised by the absence of basic amenities such as slippers, a coffee machine and bathrobes.

The shower tap handle kept coming off. The green LED lights in the ceiling could not be switched off and were quite disturbing at night.

Breakfast was rather limited. Coffee (espresso) costs extra, and there is no option to refill your tea or coffee yourself. The buffet itself is very small and offers little choice. We also had to wait quite a long time to be seated.

Dinner at the restaurant was average in terms of food quality.

Overall, our stay was comfortable, and the breakfast and dinner at the bar was very delicious.
Pros:

Loved the Irish wolfhound, Dolan, welcoming us and getting to pet him. He was an adorable, gentle giant. Everyone we interacted with was very kind and welcoming.

Cons:

Very surprised about the fake trees. Would have liked a better explanation of what, if anything, there was to do on the premises. And would have loved to know the history of the castle. Or any information about the castle at all.

Felt like a royal
Pros:

Location is great for exploring Killarney National Park or to go for a day trip to Dingle peninsula. Property is thoughtfully taken care for, staff is professional and kind (even when castles are not your primary choice of accommodation). Breakfast is tasteful and plentiful. Property has all sort of places to relax, indoor and out in the garden.
