It was okay, but could easily have been better.
Pros:

Location , good sized room, staff in bar /restaurant were pleasant.

Cons:

No fridge in room, evening meal was the beef cheek pie needed gravy as pastry and mash made the meal dry.

Our stay was ok but would probably look for something else if I was in the area next time..
Pros:

Clean and comfortable

Cons:

Think we could hear something in the loft space above us. Possibly pigeons as there were signs of them in the rear fire escape and they were seen flying around the building.

Probably would not stay here again.
Pros:

The location was fantastic. Close to food and shops

Cons:

Not enough staff for a facility that size. We waited over 20 minutes to check in. The floor between the room and the bathroom was very weak. Felt as if you could go through the floor. On the first morning the breakfast was cold. The second it was better. They cleaned our room between days and it consisted of restocking the tea supplies. They did not replenish soap/shampoo or make up the room.

Room was clean

Cons:

The restearunt being shut due to them having a wedding and no guests informed they couldn't have food . They even took my order only to return and tell me I wasn't getting food. They charged me twice for my room said it would be sorted then refuse to return it and ignored my emails. Eggs were raw at breakfast.

Looks can be deceiving it looks fine but
Pros:

Friendly staff upon arrival large sea view room

Cons:

Staff standing at conservatory door smoking so that the smoke was blowing into the conservatory where we were eating. Breakfast lukewarm at best not enough staff and items not refilled so no fried eggs at all. If you see a coach arrive you know your service will be poor because the staff cannot cope.

Had everything you needed for a stress free rest up while travelling.
Pros:

I loved it was so close to the ferry to Orkney and that it provided its own restaurant. After a long day driving we didn't want to drive again to look for a meal. Food was good and service was friendly. Also just having parking was a massive bonus. Other places were cheaper in Thurso but had no parking.

Pros:

Near the ferry port

Cons:

Our chalet was unpleasant. Cold, smelling of damp, bathroom light didn't work. Tired, sad, shabby underststes how poor it was. All of this exceeded by the noise of rodents and birds scratching in the walls/roofspace while we tried to sleep. I am cross with myself for spending so much on such sub-standard accommodation. The highlight was leaving never to return

Worst hotel stay.
Pros:

Didn't stay for breakfast, no staff to show were breakfast was.

Cons:

Room not weather tight. Had to cover window with towels and pillows to stop draft. Had to use pillow to stop draft under door.

The slugs in the chalet, with slug trails across the carpet The room/chalet was very tired indeed.
