We had a very pleasant stay and the staff were very helpful
Pros:

beautiful view over the loch and a little garden area to sit and socialise.

Cons:

Putting a preorder in for breakfast as sometimes you just don't how you'll feel next day.

Essen gut, aber recht teuer.
Kann nicht nachvollziehen, warum man bei einem relativ neu renovierten Bad beim Waschbecken getrennte Wasserhähne macht, bei dem auf einer Seite extrem heißes Wasser rauskommt

Pros:

Ja, aber zu wenig.

Cons:

Das Abendessen war überschaubar und war typisch britisch kaum gewürzt. Das Preis-/Leistungsverhätnis war nicht unbedingt im Einklang. Es war einfach zu teuer.

Great staff, very friendly and helpful. Food served in the restaurant was excellent, both breakfast and dinner. Good powerful shower. Fabulous view.

It was fine but expensive and the dinner was disappointing. The whole place felt a bit tired and needed a coat of paint
Pros:

Very comfortable bed and nice room even though it was a bit dark. It was near the sea even though we couldn’t see it from the hotel

Mooie locatie. Goed eten in het hotel en uitstekend bed.

Cons:

De porties van het eten hielden niet over. De eetzaal was een kille minder gezellige ruimte. De mensen van het hotel waren correct maar niet zeer warm. Eten was niet goedkoop.

Awesome location - Terrible food
Pros:

The location of the hotel is spectacular and the drive to it is great. We were greeted well and taken up to the room. We had booked a suite that included breakfast and dinner. The suite was pretty and comfortable but dusty and a little tired. But the views were magnificent.

The food however was appalling. The dinner was poor, over seasoned and the fish (frozen) was sent back as raw and cold on the inside. The bread was either stale or toast. The peach dessert was vile. Dinner was a terrible experience and please note the DBB package only covers dinners for £40 per person. That’s close to being 1.5 courses each.

Breakfast was equally poor. You are asked on check-in to fill in what you want before 8pm. The portion size on the yoghurt was mean in the extreme. The poached eggs had so much vinegar in the water used to make them, they were inedible. The kippers were rubbery.

The checkout was poor - the DBB rate had not been applied. There was no discount for the dinner issues and no acknowledgment of the general lack of care, hospitality, warmth or generosity.

Could be a lovely hotel if it had care, quality local ingredients, a more experienced kitchen and some investment … but don’t eat anything from there at all. I’ve been ill since.

Also don’t be fooled, this is not 4 star
