Great stay
Pros:

We like that it was a lighthouse, art by the owner, spiral staircase, Well decorated and friendly. Okay

Cons:

The dinner took 2 and 1/2 hours and we left hungry. It was also advertised that it was a working lighthouse with a picture to prove it. However, the light broke about 2 years ago and they said they were trying to get it fixed. They had a flashing light to substitute that was in no way the same. Had we known in advance that it was not working we would have still come. The fact that it was advertised that it was working was extremely disappointing when we went out to see it.

TOO SHORT TO APPRECIATE, WE WILL GO BACK.
Pros:

WE WERE MUCH LATER THAN ANTICIPATED AND ALTHOUGH KITCHEN CLOSED, WE WERE PROVIDED WITH A LIGHT MEAL AND REFRESHMENTS AND THE OWNERS SAT AND CHATTED TO US WHILST WE ATE.

Cons:

DECOR IS TIRED.

Lovely living in bit of history
Pros:

The location, The lovely excellent cooked breakfasts and evening dinner...The friendliness and helpfulness of John, his wife and staff....we liked our room Ailsa room)..... heating in room didn't come on 2nd night...and was bit cold....reported it to John (owner) who attempted to fix it whilst we enjoyed a superb dinner....alas he reported he hadn't succeeded in resolving problem.....but offered us a upgraded suite.....but on return from dinner to Ailsa....low and behold heating was working and room lovely and warm.....We elected to stay with Ailsa....albeit smaller than other room.....Cheers John you done good!!.....

Cons:

The room we had (Ailsa room) was a tad small......but was original light keepers room and we did appreciate that....we liked it.....Only negative I would say is lack of storage place for hanging clothes.....maybe hotel should consider supplying hangers for behind door .....other than that small crib......excellent!!
