Nice location but food overpriced and not worth the prices
Pros:

Nice location and pretty on the outside

Cons:

The food wasn’t great and it was overpriced. We needed to ask them to add the beds for the kids and the bathroom toilet was not clean. At night it was quite noisy to sleep.

Just an OK property, not the "castle" experience I was expecting.

The room is very worn out. Bed had actual springs where you could feel it. Window was hard to open.

NOT A CASTLE!! OVERPRICED and DILAPIDATED. Find another place to stay.

Not much except the staff. Staff was very nice.

It looked appealing from the posting but let’s be clear - this is NOT A CASTLE - it’s a Victorian mansion.
NOTHING GOOD! I had asked for a family room for 3 adults; while the pictures of the rooms looked nice, the room they gave us had a fold out couch that was supposedly a “bed” plus a queen bed. Uncomfortable for sure. The furniture was all mismatched and very worn. The heavy drapes didn’t even cover the entire width of the windows. The bathroom was adequate. The lamp shades were broken so they hung cocked. Parking was inadequate for guests and bar visitors. The restaurant food was expensive and overpriced for what was served. Floors were incredibly creaky; every step in the room and guests above made it very noisy. Everything about the place was worn without any charm. For what I paid this place was very very OVERPRICED AND A DISAPPOINTMENT! Don’t waste your money!!!!

Ein außergewöhnlicher Aufenthaltsort mit schottischem Charme
Pros:

Das Haus lebt von seinem baulichen Charme. Die Zimmer waren ausreichend groß und ordentlich ausgestattet. Es gibt keinen Lift. Der Wasserdruck im Bad ist sehr niedrig. Das Frühstück war hervorragend. Das Personal ist überwiegend sehr freundlich. Die Lage des Hauses ist idyllisch. Die Bar ist normal gut sortiert.

Cons:

Beim Gepäck gibt es keine Hilfe. Für ältere Gäste sind die Treppenaufstiege beschwerlich. Das TV funktionierte nur über Streamingdienste. Die Einrichtung wirkt etwas "sehr rustikal".

Όμορφο κάστρο εξωτερικά. Άνετο δωμάτιο. Για μια νύκτα ήταν εντάξει για να πούμε ότι κοιμηθήκαμε σε κάστρο.

Cons:

Το πρόγευμα δεν περιλαμβανόταν στην τιμή. Ήταν λίγο απομονωμένο για να πας κάπου αλλού. Με αυτή τη τιμή θα έπρεπε το πρόγευμα να συμπεριλαμβάνεται. Το εσωτερικό του κάστρου δεν είχε κάτι ιδιαίτερο. Θα μπορούσε να ήταν καλύτερο.

Precioso castillo mejorar mantenimiento

El Castillo es precioso.

Nuestra habitación no estaba bien limpia, había muchísimo polvo en las mesillas de noche y grandes telarañas en el rincón del suelo al lado de la cama que está junto al armario. El cristal de la ventana sucio.. Tienen que cuidar mas la limpieza. También se oía mucho a nuestros vecinos de habitación, les oiamos hablar y roncar! En el baño hace falta colgadores para las toallas, solo había 1 pueden poner mas en la pared, no pudimos colgar nuestras toallas de ducha, por suerte solo estabamos una noche.
