Love the location on a quiet street but very near downtown and a park.

Very DIY but has everything you need. Don't need to deal with anyone.

Brilliant, would highly recommend.
Pros:

Amazing accommodation and brilliant location. Very warm and comfortable room. We have stayed here before and really enjoyed it, always very clean and well equipped. Easy access, lots of street parking and great restaurants in walking distance.

Location, comfort & value for money.
Pros:

Location was great, with plenty of on street parking. Bed was very comfy!

Cons:

All rooms linked off the hallway and the main hall light was on all night. Very minimal criticism on this though.

Misleading if not dishonest
Pros:

Very close to everything. You reach everything on foot. Clean and new.

Cons:

The first time we stayed there, we’ve been upgraded by Booking.com to a King Suite. The photo actually showed not the King Suite. Instead it showed the Super King Suite. We thought it was a mistake and couldn’t be bothered to call the manager. The same happened to me with the second booking. Again I believed that I am staying in a room that Booking.com showed me. Again that didn’t happen. So I called the manager and told her about it. She said that I booked the King Suite ( nice name for a tiny room with a small window high up so you actually can’t look out, really ) and room number 8 is just that. I told her that Booking.com then showed for the second time the Suoer King room. What is not ok! „Nothing I can do!“ was her answer. I think the customer is mislead here. Not once but twice. We will definitely not stay there again.

We had a lovely stay in a lovely unit which was conveniently positioned to walk anywhere in Christchurch central. There
Pros:

It was tastefully decorated and had everything we needed. It was very convenient to walk to anything in Christchurch Central. There were lots of excellent restaurants close by.

Cons:

Our room had no outlook.
The crockery was stored so high it could not be reached by anyone of moderate stature.
Parking was a potential issue. 3 parks are provided at the back of the property on a first come first served basis. One is designated for the handicapped, though it is not clear how strongly enforced this is. It is suggested that free street parking is locally available if these 3 parks are full. My assessment was that depending that free street parking would be available was risky. On the side of the road on which the property is, the parking limit was for 2 hours Monday to Friday. On the other side of the road there is no apparent restriction however there is a busy building site. All parks on that side of the road during the day on the two weekdays and Saturday morning we were there were filled by workers on the building site. The building being built looks to be a multi residential complex. I would imagine when completed this will significantly increase competition for these free car parks. In the event The Parque did not appear to be very full when we were there and we managed to use one of the private parks provided without issue.
